It's like Christmas

I parked my car right in the corner of a car park, next to the path AND some plonker parked on the path about 5 inches away from my passenger door -ARRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!

A few months ago while I still had my Civic, I parked in a local Tesco's, right between the allocated white lines in a space. When I came out of the shop a car had parked over into my space leaving around 6" for me to get in :shock: .

There was a middle aged lady still in the passanger side seat of the car, so I just put my hands up in the air as if to say "is there any need to park like that".

Instead of me getting in on my passenger side I sat on the offenders bonnet and patiently waited for the owner to come back to there car, at this point the lady in the car was knocking on the inside of the windscreen to ask me to get off the bonnet, she then tried to open her door to make more of a verbal message on doing this her door clattered into mine!!.

I then calmy said "Does that explain why I'm sitting on the bonnet?" yes, i know that it wasn't the passangers fault of why the car was so badly parked but it was a red rag to a bull when she shouted through the 6" gap in the door that they haven't parked over the white lines :shock: :shock: :shock: !

So I waited for the owner to come out............ eventualy (5 minutes) the owner walked to the car and said "Do you mind........" (as i was leaning on his bonnet) At this point I exploded! "Do I mind........ , Do I mind......" and pointed to the pathetic gap between cars, "Sorry I was only nipping in for some milk, and thought I would be in and out" was his response. to be fair he was a nice chap and apologised but things like that really chap my ass!

Now if I was in my new RCZ............................................ :x

Pleased to see that you are enjoying your RCZ. I think the RCZ is a car for all genders. Its not too feminine and its not too butch - just about right. People probably said the same of the TT when that first came out. People soon come round though when you take them for a spin and they realise what a grea, the RCZ is. :thumbup:

The RCZ certainly does get a lot of attention and it really does stand out in a car park. You are not alone in parking well away from everyone else in a supermarket car park, or any other car park come to that. People tend to be very careless when opening their doors these days so its best to walk a few more yards then run the risk of a ding in your door.

Parking far away from others in a car park is not always guarantee of safety. I was coming back south from Scotland overnight and parked in an empty Mway services car park to pour myself a coffee. I had the cup perched between my knees and was pouring the flask into it when the car jumped forward and my coffee went everywhere except in the cup.

Some plonker had pulled into the space behind me and hit me instead of braking! When I asked her why she had parked right there when she had the whole car park available she said she felt safer :!: I certainly didn't :lol:

There was no damage and we shared a pleasant half hour.
