waiting for a phone call to confirm when they expect I could take delivery so that they can give me a trade in price on my current car and confirm my order....

Well the deed is done - Apparently it will be sometime in the middle of May, so only 10 odd weeks of sitting on my hands to stop the thumbs twiddling.... ARGGHHHHH :helpme:

Why will it be 10 weeks. What have you ordered a gold played one?

Nope - sport in mercury grey with front parking sensors and interior sports kit - I don't know if 10 weeks is long or not but I was expecting much worse based on the previous threads that had said something about new build dates not being until August... Middle of May is okay isn't it?

It will probably be here sooner than 10 weeks. Fingers crossed for you.

Mine will have been ordered 6 weeks this Saturday (9th) and after speaking to dealer again today still no build date, but as I have posted on other threads he insists I will have it for end of March. If so that will be 9 weeks, so suggesting 10 week wait seems about right, but lets hope you recieve it earlier :D

Right now, just knowing that it is coming is enough. It's going to be one of those incredulous 'do I really own something as beautiful as that ' things every time I see it...

You are correct. This is known as The RCZ Syndrome it is not uncommon and is incurable

Just heard that they are expecting the new car to be delivered to the dealers on 13th May, and delivery to me will be 1 week later.

So - just spoke to the dealers - still no build date yet :( They are saying now that they believe it will be in the second build window next month which means it will likely be delivered to them by around 13 June and then ready for me for 20th June :helpme:

So - another 8 weeks to go :( That'll make it 14 weeks from order to delivery :(

No - and it has me in doubt that I can wait that long :( I'm not just being impatient but I have been driving around in a car my brother-in-law has loaned me for the last 6 weeks and I feel a bit like I'm taking the mickey with it...

I know your agony. It's 13 weeks tomorrow since I ordered mine. I was told it was built last week but spoke to dealer earlier today and it's still not in the counrty yet. Hopefully get it by mid-May.

But John the wait will be worth it

The wait will be worth it John. Patience is key and when you get it, you will forget all about the long wait you had;)

It kinda helps that next month is going to be so manic - I'm in China for 10 days working, and then back for 5 days before going on holiday for a week, but I feel a bit lost not having a known end in sight - without even knowing the build date it could be June, it could be later :(

Hi Johnw, I feel the same, the only information I can get is an expected build date of May. Having read your story I am now worried that my wait is going to be extended too. I ordered mine third week in March and was pleasantly surprised by the May build date - perhaps it was sales hype!

I HOPE NOT!

Each one I see makes me more desparate to have my own. :brickwall: I now hate my old car and since I have had my registration put on retention it no long feels like mine. I REALLY CAN'T WAIT!

Whilst appreciating the frustration of a long wait I guess it means that Peugeot are getting a good supply of orders for the RCZ and that bodes well for it's place in the model line up. It's actually assembled by Steyr in Austria and I guess they have limited capacity.

There has to be an expectation of a wait when ordering a new car, albeit this seems a tad long. Plenty of facelifts around with a few thousand miles on the clock, with a big saving on new (obviously).

I'd be cancelling (if possible) and going for one of those. Well actually that's not true, I wouldn't buy brand new because I'm a tight git

I'm sure time will go quicker than you expect and that brand new car smell will be more than worth it!
