Got an air con issue at the moment, used to get nice and chilly in the cab even in the recent super hot weather then one day just hot air coming through, this was on both AC and auto
It would be temperamental over an hours commute where super cold chill then if you changed anything (blast direction, speed, temperature etc) it would go hot
Sometimes it wouldn’t go cold at all, that’s where it is now, tried to get it regassed but they said there’s no leaks as pressure tested so electrical
Checked both engine bay fuses, air con and fan but as the other components related to them are working fine I knew the two fuses would be ok as the fan adjusts as normal
I’m gonna check the high pressure switch first with a multimeter to make sure it is holding pressure with the correct reading, I can’t see the low pressure switch so guessing it’s tucked away down below
The silver canister attached to the low pressure pipes is cold both sides of the switch
I can’t get to the compressor from up top but wondering if I take the under tray panel off I might be able to access the switch and check for loose wires and check with a multimeter
So with my limited ability with electrics I’m also wondering if there are any relays to check relating to AC compressor or condenser? Battery is 12.4v in the mornings, not amazing but cranks over fine, no other issues
Had the water pump changed a few months ago by Alan in Enfield but the air con was running fine before and after, I’ve changed the water pump pulley and chain tensioner but again this was a while back, the problem only really started couple of weeks
