Intermittent slipping/rubbing noise at biting point.

Hi All,

Bought my RCZ a couple of months ago - a '60 plate 156 THP with 45k miles.

Loving it in every way apart from a hard to describe noise when pulling away. Seems worse when on an incline or accelerating away harder than normal, & only happens roughly 5% of the time. When it does though it's very noticeable, but difficult to pin down exactly where it's coming from. It occurs at biting point as I accelerate.

Some sort of clutch issue seems the logical explanation, but the rest of the time gear changes are quiet & smooth without issue.

Any thoughts on what this issue could be would be most welcome.

Cheers,

Wilco.

It's the automatic hill hold assist function de-activating as you pull away. Perfectly normal and nothing to worry about!

Good shout, but I'm not so sure. It sometimes happens when pulling away on a flat piece of road, plus my wife's car is a 308 CC that has that same system on, & it works silently on her car.

Had exactly the same problem when I bought mine,if the noise sounds the noise an owl makes "hoot" noise then it's a new clutch I'm afraid.

Forgot to mention mine also was a 60 plate 49k miles but a thp200.
Only happened in first gear worse on an incline.
