Good afternoon everyone

There has already been a thread on issues caused by the Japan earthquake/tsunami. This natural disaster is causing problems all round the world for all sorts of industries and is causing problems for the motor industry. Just today toyota has had to put its european factories on short time or temporary close due to supply issues from the japanese factories.

For RCZ customers the following issues have been identified:

Shark Grey Metallic Paint :This colour is no longer available to order,it is NOT being replaced by Thorium Grey

RCZ THP 156 Automatic is now stock only and new orders cannot be taken until early 2012.

I think this sort of thing emphasises the massive damage that has been caused in and to Japan.

I'm sure we all wish the japanese people and country a speedy recovery.

regards

Marcus

Makes you sit back and realise how unimportant a car or it's colour is, when you try to imagine what those people went through, and are still going through,

I ordered shark grey with a build date of 19/4/11 and my dealer has not told me I can't have it (yet).

What's the relevance of the auto not being available until 2012?

The japanese factory that makes bits for (or the entire) auto box wont be operational for some time.

Thank you for your information about RCZ.

To my sorrow, many parts for manufacturing automobiles, including RCZ, cannot be produced here now after the big earthquake.
I hope it recovers soon !

My shark grey was in Calais as of yesterday so it's well on it's way. Dealer said that colour would only be unavailable for a short period.

Its been discontinued and now removed from the spec sheets.

Do you know if it's been discontinued for sure or just temporarily unavailable? It would be removed from the spec sheets even if it was the latter until it became available again would it not?
