I want to replace Leather interior with cloth !

Hi, this may seem crazy but I want to buy a GT and then swap the interior for the standard cloth seats from the Sport.

I was wondering if anyone can help with 2 questions:-

1. As the sport seats have no electrics is there any issue in leaving the GT electrics presumably unplugged.

2. Are the door pads on the standard GT actually leather, I question this as many cars with 'leather' are often maybe only 50% actually leather...

I would be very grateful for any answers ..

Thank you in advance.

Like the leather on the dash, unless specced as integral leather, it is faux leather ,but can be treated and cleaned like normal leather.

In answer to your first question, I would see no problems with that, if done correctly.

Thank Rcz1. Does the faux leather include the 'flat' panel above the arm rest also. To me it does not look the same as the faux leather on the dash?

What are your reasons for wanting to swap to the cloth seats by the way?

I've had leather seats in cars before and found they are very good at giving 3rd degree burns to ladies legs (or other exposed parts of skin ;) ) when the sun's heated them up sufficiently so that's one reason!

Frankly, if I had a choice I would choose cloth for the reason that after 2 years leather looks worn and old whereas cloth can look new ......... but choice I do not have.

Why - the good lady is super animal friendly and will not entertain leather.

We have 'not bought' many nice cars because there was no cloth option........

Are we sure the door arm rests and door card inserts are leather on a GT ?
