I've just been told of the delivery date for my RCZ 200thp GT.......only 2 weeks to wait now ! Saturday 17th woop woop ! :D

The dealer seems to think - I may be the first in the South East on the road with a 200bhp....if not even further afield than that !

You'll hate me..........4th June

As I 've posted elsewhere on here - managed to buy a Mid-Build car that had been allocated to the dealer.

When talking to the dealer - they could see on their system thatmy car had been built on 16th June and was now in Calais and coming over the channel today..........very tempted to nip down to Dover and see if I could spot it !! :)

I'm happy to say I'm one of the 6% who've gone for Dolphin Blue with Frisson Leather, also Lighting Pack - so it'll be in the minority! At least on hear anyway looking at the poll.

Also having the car waxed and the leather scotchguarded.

Saw the dolphin blue - local dealer had one as a demonstrator - colour was really nice. I am one of the minorities on colour too - went for the solid white!! Is the local dealer doing the wax etc? Have read a few messages on here that recommend you get a specialist in to do it independently - cheaper too apparently - have a look at some of the threads on 'detailing' Cheers

Hi Dave - its not actually a wax they apply, its a sealant. Its supposed to last for 3 years but I can't for the life of me see how it will last that long. A top end wax £3,000 or more would even struggle to do that. The paintwork needs to be prepared properly first before it is applied otherwise it won't protect as it "supposed to".

Before I knew about detailing, I had something similar applied to my current car when I bought it. It lasted about a month before I removed it. The paintwork had not been prepared properly beforehand. There were dried water marks underneath the sealant everywhere - it was a mess. Now my car looks a hundred times better than the day it came out of the showroom.

Waxing your car every 2-4 months, depening on which wax you go for and your wash regime would be time and money better spent and provide better protection of your pride and joy.

I would really really recommend getting a detailer to do your car for you rather than get the dealer to put their sealant on it - and it is cheaper !
