Hey!

My "cold air intake" has had the same trouble not keeping the temperature consistent, and it takes ages for the engine to warm up. But on the other hand the cabin warms up really fast which is pleasant.

Yes the inside temperature is fine, which is good. And the seat warmers work great!

Cold Air Intake? Yes i have that!

The car wasn't particulary fond of this cold. Everything was smooth and running like it should but it struggled to keep the temperature up. Of course almost any car does that in this temp, especially new ones with highly efficient engines. Cruising at 90 km/h it never went over 83 or so degrees, mostly hovering between 70ºC and 80ºC. At intersections the temp dropped 5-10 degrees just by slowing down and waiting to turn :D

My car displayed 39 degrees C when I got in before lunch today ;)

Love that air con set down to (+)18 degrees :)

Hey you guys, i found a new designflaw in the RCZ yesterday while cleaning the insides of the windows, don't know if any of you have noticed it. I've seen that some of the threads in the rear windshield wasn't working so it's not defrosting all of it, and this is due to when having passengers sit in the rear seats, they grind their heads on the windshield causing the exposed heatingthreads to snap off. Looked the same on both sides right in the "head" position.

Just a small observation ;)

Passengers in the back seat of a RCZ? Never
I've had quite a few passengers in mine, like 6 different people :D Not all at once tho  I can sit fairly okay there too even tho i'm 5'10", just the headroom which is a slight bother. I haven't even gotten to try sitting there yet while someone else drove my car :( Would be a fun experience!

Took a few pictures today, nothing special, just because :D It is a dirty dirty car at the moment and in desperate need of a waxing. It litterally feels like a sandpaper when you touch the paint :( I feel so terrible about it, but i'll get around to fixing it maybe next weekend hopefully and i'll put on the summer tires then aswell! Finally! :)

I also noticed the summer tires in the shed so i decided it was time to weigh them cause i haven't gotten around to that yet :D So The Sortilége's with somewhat worn tires were: 23.0 Kg. I actually thought they would be heavier. The winter tires on the 18" Terrific rims where as i wrote earlier 22.3 Kg.

I've got a bunch of asphalt spots on the side of the car. What is the best action to get rid of these?

Machine polishing or should i go with a claybar?

If using a claybar, is pure water really enough lubricant to use? What else could i use for this?

That Tardis really is the stuff to use. The smell reminds me of paint thinners. But it works wonders on tar.

Autosmart Tardis is by far the best tar remover.

Don't buy in eBay as its likely to be watered down. It only comes in big containers but it's well worth having.
As that's not available here i went to the shops and got the next best thing: the Autoglym Tar Remover. Ah, it was like clubbing baby seals! ;) Got them away to 99% i would estimate. Still may be some spots which i'll look into later tomorrow when it's more light outside. So hopefully i'll smere some AG Super Resin Polish and AG Extra Gloss Protection on tomorrrow then! Aahh finally!

There hasn't been any tar or dead insects that I haven't been able to remove easily using old nylon panties (or nickers if you wish) tied in a knot and made wet. The fine fabric is very suitable for cleaning and won't cause scratches.

Also while in town tonight waiting at a red light i saw a facelifted white RCZ that i haven't seen around here before. Flashed my high beams at him but the bastard was on the phone and didn't even notice me :(

So it's the 2nd one i've seen around here now. This one could have just been passing through tho but the other one (black RCZ) lives around town. I've been out chasing him/her hoping for a chat but no luck so far
