Abz, not sure where you got that info about them being the incorrect but they are absolutely the right load carrying tyre rating.

I thought the load rating was W for the RCZ. So I assumed V was too low

The letters refer to the speed rating Abz and not the load carrying capacity. :thumbup:

No, the car only made 178 mph.

Several times a year I would have some fun here early in the morning on Sundays.

Straight flat German autobahn, very good visibility, almost no other cars.

While on the subject of winter tires i polished the winter rims today so now they're ready for the snow!

And may i also point out that those are the heaviest bastardly tires i've ever come across :shock: One of those tires weigh litterally more than the entire Corolla i used to have!

I had to go out and actually weigh them now while writing this and they were 22.3 kg! That's almost 100 kg in tires alone! :shock: Then again the summer tires are probably even heavier....

I also had the honor of driving the "wedding car" at my brother's wedding last weekend
Taken just after they got married, we were just standing around waiting to leave. Notice the sign on the rear window.

Thanks for all the advice folks, before I trek off to spend my hard earned cash on winter tyres, can someone let me know how effective they are please?

Had an accident in my 10 day old car down in Hove in March on snow (summer tyres) conditions unexpected but I was driving at snails pace....and have been a nervous wreck driving it ever since. Contemplated getting rid of it but I do love my RCZ...

If I can be of greater help then just ask but, in short, the RCZ is useless in the snow (with 19s anyway) and I wouldn't even contemplate driving mine up here in Aberdeen without them. Money well spent!

I couldn't get out of our hamlet when snow was on the ground. After buying my winter tyres, I had no such problems. Wouldn't be without them.
