Hi guys, my poor Z has been off the road for weeks now, with no end in sight. Annoyingly, she was running brilliantly, but I noticed a strong fuel smell in the engine bay.

Took her in to my garage and found out the high pressure fuel rail is cracked, so she's been leaking petrol and is obviously unsafe to drive.

I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could source the part, it's been a nightmare. Mechanic says Peugeot don't have any in stock, and we thought we'd found the right thing on eBay, but when it turned up it looked different from the photo and it ended up not fitting (mechanic reckons Peugeot maybe changed the fitting for the facelift 200s).

It's been so frustrating being without the car all this time :(

Any advice, or anyone who can point me in the right direction (or better still, anyone breaking a MK1 RCZ 200?)

Thanks

Maybe in a car scrapyard?

Probably some Mini would also have the same part.

No joy so far sadly at scrappies. Can't stress how few RCZs there are north of the border.

I'm reluctant to go down the mini route, considering I got the part for a facelift RCZ 200 and it turned out not to fit, don't want to go wasting more money.

Garage has back ordered the part now from Peugeot, but god only knows how long it'll take to come (if ever). Won't even know a rough time estimate for at least a week - god I love my Z, but this has been a bit of a nightmare.

I'm not scared of expensive bills, I'm scared of important parts not being available to fix my poor car :(
