How to Clean Silver Arches?

I tried shampooing, but there are still some water stains on it and it does not shine.

What do you use to clean the arches? Someone mentioned Autosol, but I am quite concern using that as it is very strong.

I'm going try claying and SRP on the arches this weekend (well, hopefully I have time to) haven't had a chance to clean her the past couple weekends. Plus, it rained today.

Maybe finish it with Meg's Ultimate Quik Detailer or Ultimate Quik Wax.

I would not use Autosol on the roof arches. You don't want anything abrasive and I would be cautious about claying them too.

Something that deep cleansers would be ideal - like Werkstat Prime or Dodo Lime Prime. Then top with your wax or sealant of choice.

I 'lime primed' at the weekend and decided to give the arches a miss in case I scratched them .... if it's good enough for RCZ1 then its good enough for me!!!

SRP then a wax which ever one you have :thumbup: no need for different products for the arches

I use some wax and managed to clean off most of the water stains, but still not 100% shine. Still, better than before now.

Do you use a Quick Detailer (QD)? I use one when drying the car as it removes water marks without the need for rubbing at them. Waxing won't remove water marks. You are in effect sealing in the water marks. Use SRP or a deep cleanser like I mentioned earlier. So QD then deep cleanse then wax.

But have you got any wax protection on them? Over time they will deteriorate if they are not protected from the elements.

As I use turtle wax (wet&dry) thats the only dressing they get, but I don't spray directly on the arches. I don't fancy spending more than 1-2 hours cleaning the car. I haven't got the attention span as you detailers have!

You don't need to spend more than 2 hours cleaning the car. If you get a wax like Collinite which lasts up to a year, you only need to do it once a year. Safe in the knowledge you (and your arches) are protected.

Dare I say it RCZ1? That I have never considered waxing the arches................ whoops !!!!!!!! Will try harder next time.
