Other than the date of registration I wonder what the difference was in the Launch edition, decals, factory mods, engine enhancements ? Not suprising there's hardly any left. I bet the engine blew in a few that the poor owners were not aware of the timing chain issues back then.

And Ive never even seen an R !

The ones that I’ve heard of getting scrapped have been in write off accidents there’s one Belgian launch edition owner who’s travelled over 250K’s in his!

When you say Carbon Fibre roof do you mean no metal all carbon fibre manufactured roof? Or a Carbon fibre outer layer? Love those arches. Satallite system as in what kind of system?

Outstanding. So that joins the R and a (Red any rcz) that I've never seen. Never even seen a picture on the internet of that roof must be mega rare.

I did see a Hdi when I was looking for a rcz for the wife and went to Peterborough to see a white Hdi and was shocked to see it had a carbon roof but some idiot had painted it back can't believe what some people do and the car was for sale at a car dealership...

So roughly 9000 RCzs on the road and about 111000 AudiTTs and apart from the Prince engine the RCZ is the better car every day of the week .

Depends what constitutes the Launch edition. Mine was the second one in the UK with the first going to a car magazine. There were some changes to later ones, mainly to correct brake squealing issues etc Mine also has the RCZ flashes on the door sills which I haven't seen on others.

The door sticker was an option extra and I have seen it on a 65plate I know that it's genuine as the owner got it from now and only has 16k on it now..

The launch edition is the car Peugeot made 200 of to celebrate the 200th year of Peugeot and the launch of the RCZ model as Verminator has stated they are all numbered and cost €35500 buyers had to buy on line and the first 200 who stumped up in full got one 10-12 months later. The most significant difference other than carbon fibre roof and mirrors were the smoke chrome roof arches but most of these were replaced under warranty due to bad water staining My car still has the original arches but they have been painted gloss black. Only 35 launch edition cars in the UK

Yes, the launch edition your are referring to was the standard RCZ whereas mine is the RCZ R.

Talking about rare, once I have seen white pre-facelift RCZ with champagne color arches was this an option? Looked pretty alright

Yes was an option I have only seen one and that was white with a private registration looked fantastic the RCZ was in Hull..

The champagne arches are lighter in colour than on the concept R

Most recent UK figures (to end of 2020) show there were 271 R's taxed and 17 with SORN. Compares with 276 and 14 for Q3 of 2020, so there are two less in total assuming all are taxed or notified as being off the road. 288 cars altogether.

Total figures at the end of each year were:

2014: 218
2015 :303
2016: 305
2017: 296
2018: 295
2019: 294
2020: 288

Reality is they are all pretty rare. I've just come back from a trip to my office, first visit since September.
It's a 480 mile round trip and I didn't see one other RCZ either going or coming back.
Wonder how many Mondeos I past.
