How long do we have after oil change light comes on please ?

Hello RCZ people,

Petrol 1.6 …Any anxiety - relieving tips as to roughly how many miles it’s safe to drive after oil change light lands …..

Thanks as always for any tips
Will get to mechanic tomorrow or day after though doing my usual fretting

Only done about 600 miles since new oil been put in ….

Not sure what the issue is if you only did 600 Klms after an oil change or is the low oil warning flashing on the dash ?

Do you mean the yellow triangle?

If they didn't reset it when they changed your oil, it can turn on at any time.

You can reset it yourself, to do this press the reset button on the instrument panel and without releasing it turn the key, a counter will appear that counts up to 10 and then it will be reset.

I don't pay attention to it, I take it on my own to change the oil. More frequently than what Peugeot recommends.

The Prince engine is VERY susceptible to low oil problems. Everybody should check their oil weekly. Make sure it’s changed at least as often as the service schedule suggests & keep it topped up to the top mark on the dipstick Using the correct oil.

If the oil was changed 600 miles ago, check the level & make sure you haven’t suffered a catastrophic loss for any reason, & if all is well, it should be safe to reset the warning.
