Hi all as a newbie to this forum but not others as I am a member of Scooby net for those who don't know is a Subaru Forum .anyway back to my post as of Thursday 28th of this month me and my girlfriend picked up her brand new RCZ diesel in nera black and to say we was chuffed is a under statement . We bought the car after weeks of looking trying to get the right deal etc until we found what we was looking for from a dealer in edgeware London ,so the deal was done trade in sorted and off we went down to London (we are from bury near Manchester ) to pick up the car . The drive down in our trade in was as always for me anyway awful (astra1.7sri tdi) we get to the dealer and see the gorgeous black RCZ waiting there ready for the drive home . Anyway papers signed keys handed over it's time to set off home put some fuel (shell) and set off up the M1 M6 to home and my first impression as a passenger was wow what a car not fast or anything like that but u know a nice place to be, smooth power ,comfort , total opposite to the astra ,anyways 200 miles later land at home car parked on drive for all the Neigbours to see the ace car we got . Up early for school run ,me on way to work the phone rings it's the girlfriend 'the cars broke down' no way yes way she said back ,the car gad gone into limp mode some problem with engine flashing on the dash Gutted . The car is now residing at a dealers waiting to be fixed they gave some Hyundai piece of """"" .this should not happen it's the 21 st century they put a man on the moon 40odd yrs ago I can write this rant on a phone and cars still let us down the joy of buying a new car has been ruined by somebodies inability to design and build a car that works for more than 200 miles !! Don't get me wrong we are all fallible we are human after all but cars are machines they should work when we want them to work. So I've e mail the CEO of peugeot with my rant well maybe not as bad as this one and I awaite his reply which I will share with this forum .

Sorry to hear about your experience.

Yes it's a pain in the 4ss but it will be sorted. Don't let this issue put you off.

My RCZ (Diesel GT) is now on 68,000 with only small issues with occasional sticking handbrake and noisy wing mirrors.

I'm sure Peugeot will sort and possibly compensate for your inconvenience.

All the Best

Thanks for the posts guys I don't think we are put off by the fault or the car how could u be put off by such a smart car I think it's just the pleasure has been dented of owning a new car , my girlfriend was lookin forward to her trip to work in it today and showing it off to all a work mates !! But alas she had to take the Hyundai noddy hire car instead she tells me she had to set off earlier to compensate for the 10bhp engine in it ,she would have took my Subaru normally but I said get used to havin this crappy hyundai thing so when the RCZ comes back u will love it again plus my car loves to much shell optimax , we just emptied the bank to get the RCZ so fueling the Scooby is a bit to much!!! One thing I'm glad to see on this forum it's much like Scooby net is the help that is given and information is good re the quad exhaust for the RCZ I've been in touch with a exhaust manufacturer thro Scooby net who is able to make the quad exhausts for a bit cheaper than I've seen on e bay etc he quoted me less than £400 is this a good price do u think ?that is fitted of course

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with the car.

May I know the email address of Peugeot CEO? I have been trying to get in touch with someone from Peugeot France that will listen or care about what happened in my country, but not avail.

Pease don’t get put off by this I bought my RCZ after owning the world’s worst ford Kuga, I have owned and wasted so much money on cars in my life time owning such icons as 205GTI brand new 2x309GTi 2x 405SRI 1x 405MI16 3x golf GTi 2 x golf GTTDI one Toyota 1 x Astra GTF pile (of bolts) 1 x Vectra (needed mental care for buying this) 1x Insignia SRI Interesting 1x Mitsubishi Gallant (why!!!) Rover 200 (Yes I need mental care) 1x MG Metro Turbo (go cart) 1 x Capri (not a dell boy ghia) I have missed some out best Car Porsche Boxster 3.2 1x Rx8 1 x Escort RS turbo and 1x Audi TT Quattro but most unreliable.

Brand new Civic type s 2.2 CDTI 6,000 miles new clutch 7,000 new Dual mass flywheel 7,300 new gear box 7,301 new timing chain cogs and cylinder head 7,040 miles sold bought the Kuga broke down on way home from dealership less than 1mile in the car broke down again the same day, the paint started peeling off the roof and bonnet, key less ignition would loses connection with car whilst driving and stop the car dead the list goes on.

So I know how you must feel but the RCZ is a different breed the dealer will sort it and
off the roof and bonnet, key less ignition would loses conection with car whilst driving and stop the car dead the list goes on.

So I know how you must feel but the RCZ is a diffrent breed the dealer will sort it and you will learn to love the attention as Scooby owners steer at the looks trust me, I feel your pain but it will be worth the wait.
