Hi all,

Well, I rather like the black roof arches on the latest model.

And, as I was bored this morning, I popped into work, grabbed a roll of the endlessly useful Gaffa tape, and slapped some on one of the arches. I just wanted to see if it would simulate how they might be if I had them wrapped..... :eusa-think:

Here was the 3 minutes later result...

Actually, it worked ok!

So any opinions are welcomed.

IF I now go ahead to get them done I'll probably get carbon to match the roof, and do the wing mirrors too...

Looks great to me Davie and really probably suits the white and black models the best IMO. I also must commend you on the gaffer tape effort. A day well spent I reckon!!! :clap:

I seriously like the effect and had I not got champaign coloured arches then I too would consider having Black one too :clap:

Gaffa tape is the MacGyver of tools

But I would try to get some proper wrapping stuff, because I wouldn't want to remove the remains of the glue after a while...

I think it looks great but would go for plain black as opposed to carbon.

Thanks for the comments chums! Very helpful to hear your views, seems it would be a hit!

The effort was not really an effort, it took 3 minutes. I just wanted to get a look see and a picture.

So the illustrious G tape was peeled off right away, and binned....not a totally wasted life...

I'm going to get a quote in the next few days, and get the windows darkened just a little too.

Quick call to the insurance company after that :sleeping-yellow:

I think if I was to have the arches done in black then it would have to be a gloss finish, to match the front grill and blend with the roof. :thumbup:

I agree, it'll be a gloss black.

As for the patio, well, the unit next to our's provides extra's for Lord of the Rings movies....well that's what we think. So at exactly midday the Orks come out and assemble to eat their newly slaughtered Hobbit Sarnies in their comfy chairs....

It's like a Middle Earth Picnic....
