Hi all, picked up an RCZ on a 13 plate ( facelift ) for the wife a week ago. its a lovely looking car and with the GT HDI lump in it, it goes really well.

Her last car had factory Xenons in it which i feel are a must for our crappy pot holed english roads, and with the winter months drawing in and her finishing work when its going dark, i've started upgrading the lights. so far i have put LED reg plate bulbs in, all interior bulbs are now LED, and i have a set of LED reverse bulbs on the way.

So with that lot taken care of i moved to the headlights side of things, i have read the thread about Facelift Rcz's NOT BEEN ABLE to take a HID set up due to the angle of the headlights and clearance issues with the headlight glass its self, but the thread is a few years old now and all scans on the google search lead back to said thread.

Has anybody managed to get HIDS working in the facelift RCZ's ?

If not what bulbs are folks using please my searches for alternatives to HIDS has so far narrowed my searches to

1. Osram H7 Cool Blue Boost 5000K Hyper Blue Bulbs (X2) 80W 12v 62210CBB-HCB

2.Philips Diamond X-treme Vision White Light Bulb

3.Philips Crystal Vision Xenon Look Bulb

Also what side light bulbs are folks using please? are the side light bulbs just T10 501 style spade fitment

Thanks

Xenon lights were an option on the MKII's so obviously there's no issue there. Don't know which of the replacement bulbs you have listed would be best though, sorry.

I think the issues with the HID bulbs over the factory Xenon bulbs is that the after market ones are longer, and therefore closer to the headlight glass??
