Placed the order on Saturday 19 June 2010 for the 2.0GT HDI163 in Dolphin Blue.

Currently drive a Volvo S40 T5 SE Sport (stupidly fast car), so was a bit wary going to a 2.0 Diesel - and a Peugeot.
Without wishing to alienate any Peugeot fans, I haven't been near a Peugeot since the days of 309 and 405s.

Was on the way to the Audi Garage (!!) when I called in at the Peugeot garage on the way.
Was impressed by the looks, had a drive in the 2.0GT HDI163 Demo Car and was even more impressed.
Pick up and handling was really good.

Ummed and argh for about 20 minutes over a coffee in the rest area, while I flicked through the Specs and looked around the car once again. The amount of "goodies" as standard on the car is quite impressive.

Salesman was excellent throughout and I really enjoyed the buying experience - not like some garages.

One Tip: Avoid Swansea - you get a MUCH better deal Pontypridd / Cardiff way.

Just got three months to wait now....delivery Late September / Early October. Cant' Wait !!

I think the RCZ is doing just the job of attracting people back to Peugeot. Most will agree they have the looks spot on and very well priced. I'm sure they have some great ambitions for the rest of the range too.

Hi Gorwel

Congrats on the new car, :D

I had a very similar experience (wont re-cap, it's in an earlier post of mine) so I know what you meen about being wary of peugeot, but one month into the ownership, and I can honestly say, I don't regret it one bit, it's not like any Peugeot I have owend before.

The time will pass quickly, and welcome to the forum.

Hi Gorwell, Welcome to the forum, my wife ordered her RCZ from Griffin Mill too which will hopefully be ready in early Sept. Griffin Mill can't have many left to sell from their quarterly quota now!!!

Thanks All,

tonyrcz: Yes, the RCZ is certainly pulling in Punters that (possibly) wouldn't ordinarily arrive at Peugeot's door.

gtomo: I'm hoping that the Peugeot experience is going to be a good one throughout i.e. Servicing, etc.

Pughy3: They had a (hand-made) sign saying one left when I was in there !! I'm not surprised they are selling though, the experience was totally different to the first Peugeot Garage I went to.

Me too,

Went to ******* first, and was not impressed with pushy sales man, or the lack of knolage about the car

By contrst, Tamworth were very curtious and informed, Stan was a realy nice guy to deal with, one of the best car buying moments I've had !

No worries, not really a big issue. Some forums allow naming and shaming as users are really just looking to help other members but many years of good service can quickly be overlooked by one poor salesperson, one lazy call etc etc.
