Hi all iv just orderd my rcz from crewe peugeot,Unfortuanatly it had to be the 1.6 156 bhp due to a major wait for the 200bhp version my question is,Is the 156 and the 200 bhp engine the same block or is a diferent engine all together. If not what is the difference between the two
Also is the suspension based on the 308 ? as i am looking to put mine on coil overs with a 30mm drop thanks in advance sam

Hi Sam,

Nice choice !

The engines are the same, only the map changes, very soon you will be able to get a re-map (super chip) upto about 190 BHP.

I dont think that there is enough room under the arches to drop it by 30mm, not with 19"s anyway . . . . :?:

Can't wait to see pics

Hi mate, welcome to the forum :)

the suspension is 308 derived, but already has a 40mil drop. Doubt you'd be able to drop it further on the 19's without major surgery around the arches - front arches are part of the bonnet structure so not sure if that makes it easier or harder.

On the engine side I think the only difference is the turbo - the 200bhp is twin-scroll and the 156 is not. Don't quote me there as that's coming from reviews (and we know how accurate some reviews can be!) as opposed to Peugeot themselves.

Both the 156THP and the 200THP have Turbo's
I don't think there is any difference in the two, just the fuel mapping.
Some John Copper Works Minis are pushing out 275 BHP, but they do have major mods to cope with the extra pressures.

I don't think they will, but it would be great if Peugeot brought out a properly quick version of the RCZ, the chassis is good for it,
and it would make for a very fast, stylish coupe, that would have the magazine testers raving (even more than they are now)
