I bought a gorgeous RCZ 1.6GT THP It's been driving beautifully, then light came on STOP OIL, so I stopped put a litre of oil I had in the boot, waited 10 mins and drove round the corner to a petrol station for more oil.
I put more oil in started the engine, STOP engine repair needed. So I left the car for a couple of days to see if it would reset, it didn't.
Mobile mechanic with computer gave these codes, P1385, P2336 P2337, P2338, P1336, P1339. He reset it and all of these came back up... on the positive side the oil is ok!
Is it fixable or should I look for a new engine? Thanks for any help.

If he wiped the codes off then the ECU should now have them stored & sometimes they can be triggered for a specific reason like sensor failures your codes possibly relate to oil pressure issues which are critical in these types of engine
P1385 -Variable cam timing solenoid b malfunction
P2336-2337-2338 Knock sensor cylinders 1-2-3
P1336 Cam-crank sensor range
P1339 is common on BMW Mini codes for cam & crank position sensors
Why your saying you need a new engine is debatable it depends on what damage is caused by running on low oil levels
