Hi Everyone.
i just purchased th 1.6 six speed auto in grey with cream leather interior and grey leather dashboard.

They need to do a service at Palmers before it leaves and its at 42K Mileage. Do you think thy will be giving it its main service now with cam belt change?

Is everyone till in love with their car or have a made a huge mistake? im paying £190 a month for five years which includes gap insurance and 2 year Platinum warranty cover. Has anyone had experience with Palmers Platinum cover yet?

I hoping you guys can make me feel more pressurised that this car is a good quality buy.

Many thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah, any warranty is better than none, but aI have no knowledge of Palmers warranty. They are generally all very similar, but it might be a good idea to familiarise yourself with the exclusions, as this might include some of the more likely problems you could encounter with your Z.

You will absolutely love your Z. Some on here are on their 3rd Z so that should tell you something.

I have had many cars and I can honestly say that I have never felt the same about any other car. From the first time I saw it and continuing now. I can't wait to drive it, I look at it when it's parked. I sneak a peek in shop windows as I drive past, just to get a glimpse of a reflection. :eusa-whistle:

I am smitten, and I think most on here feel exactly the same. So, do I think you have made the right decision? Oh yes

P.s. Get some photos on here as soon as you can, we love a new Z pic on here :D

Just to clarify that statement, it's because we really like them, not because they are super-unreliable!

Sarah, you after the standard Peugeot logo (white with blue lion) ones or the white & red 'R' ones? (I don't have the plain 'RCZ ' ones). I have both the others (R currently fitted) but I'm not that bothered which I keep as I like them both. If you'd like either, PM me and I'll do you a deal

Congrats on getting your car btw - I love mine still. A few niggles during ownership so far but nothing catastrophic and it's good fun to drive!

I have had mine for 14 months now.
Absolutely love it. Mines a diesel so can't comment on what you've bought from engine etc point of view but everything else...oh yes just love it
I reckon that once you've had one you'll never feel the same about anything else ...

The petrol engines have a timing chain and therefore shouldn't need replacing.

That said the timing chain is one of the known faults with the engine and has been upgraded to a more reliable parts.
Enquire if yours has already been done.
A few on here have had the dreaded death rattle when starting usually followed by the limp mode, most have had the warranty replace it.

Service intervals on a 2010 vehicle is 20,000 miles or 2 years (whichever comes first), but 20k is a bit long - if you doing the mileage I'd be changing the oil at about 10-12k.
