Going in tomorrow to take a test drive of the RCZ limited edition here in Chile. 200hp engine. £30,000 here... but I don't care!!! Saw it at the car show a week ago and trading in my CX7 to get it! Can't wait! Will let you know how it goes...

All the best to everyone!

Hi ValleNorte in Chile and welcome to the forum  :greetings-wavingblue: . That's a mean old price tag they've added to the RCZ in Chile but once you've taken your test drive you'll be hooked, just like the rest of us were :D. Is the limited edition in white with black mirrors, grille and alloys? Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi Vallenorte and welcome from oz. Good to see a fellow antipodean getting in on the act. The price in oz is $54,500 plus another $8000 on-road costs. That equates to a lot more pounds than our fellow forumites in the UK are paying but I guess we are both a long way away. The aussie dollar has spiralled upwards recently (now worth more than a US dollar and $0.62 to the pound - historically it's been $0.40!) B......d dealers won't drop the price though - don't want to kill the used car market. That's what you get when you live in the most isolated city in the world (Perth), have strong import duties to protect local industry founded on a small population ( although we do have 20 million in oz now), and a strong economy based on iron ore, bauxite and uranium mining which puts money in people's pockets to buy toys.

Thanks for all your welcomes! I took the test drive today and within an hour had plonked down the cash! Loved it! Down here this car is like a Ferrari in the UK. Limited edition has a silver RCZ plaque by the spoiler button. Mine is 11 of 30. I got the last one in Chile!!! It is black with 19" black alloys, black brake calipers, black leather interior etc etc. Very dark and moody! Love it! The test drive was on a runway for a gliders club. Managed to get her to 200kph before running out of asphalt! Brakes very good too. I should pick it up on Thursday night or Friday morning....time is already dragging!

I look forward to learning and sharing more info on these boards

All the best

Fantastic news, ValleNorte. Knew you'd love it, and the wait is amazingly short. Good for you and it sounds wonderful with all that moody black stuff going on. Don't forget to post those pics, and include that plaque beside the spoiler button...we'd all be interested in that  .
