Hello everyone

Been a member of the forum for a little while (lurking in the shadows :p), reading and following threads with great interest. There is some superb information on here - glad to join the community.

I have an RCZ on order with Hamble Motors, Southampton. I've seen some very positive comments about this dealership so felt they were the right people to talk to within Southampton.

So, coming out of uni and finding myself in a decent job straight away I felt a little reward was due and so placed my order for my RCZ on the 30th August.

Spec is as follows:

RCZ 200GT in Mercury Grey
NG4 3D Sat Nav
Vision Pack
JBL Hi-Fi pack
Onyx Solstice Wheels

Got a nice deal on my 307 (my trusty car since i was 17 - now 22) for trade in as well as a sizeable discount on the vehicle and having test driven and seen the car.... Just had to join the rest of you!

Estimated 30th October Delivery cannot come quick enough!!!!!!!

Cheers guys for an excellent community forum,

Mark

Thanks for the kind welcome and I will be joining in a lot more with the chatter on here :) hopefully my more technical side can be useful to you guys if any issues arise! :)

I think it was this video on YouTube that made me go with the colour/wheel combination. Although I didn't go for the black wing mirror casings.

Watched that a few times..........

Wow what a car to be able to buy yourself from your first job!! Lucky chap! what is it that you do?

Great choices all round in the spec and colour...the grey is now my second favourite colour. Glad that you have found the forum helpful and hope you'll post some pics of your new motor and join in with the forum discussion and banter...

I'm a technical specialist for O2 for the south of England. I deal with all the technical bits and pieces in my area (not just phones). I'm also sent to various conferences and product reveals on behalf of O2. Was on a week long conference in Birmingham with all the major phone hardware and software makers a couple of weeks ago, and I'm flying to Glasgow on Tuesday to see what HTC are revealing to the market.

Basically a combination of solving problems/issues as well as seeing/talking to the producers about what's coming next and reporting back my findings, opinions etc to HQ. I like that I'm based in Southampton but could be away at any time too.

That sounds very interesting. A selling point for me would be the travel ivolved and your opportunity to networlk around the country. Should you be able to give us any info about the HTC (without getting yourself into trouble) then I would be very interested to see if it looks like trumping the iPhone 5...surely they won't make the same b*lls up with mapping!!!

To be fair, there wasn't much to be seen that you (probably) haven't seen or heard of already. The majority was all about the One X+, which is covered on the majority of tech sites such as TechRadar. Nothing too exciting at this point of the year i'm afraid.

Little update from me. Car is now built! However will not be in England until the 6th of November so the overall delivery is going to be a little late. It's all feeling real now :D. Really can't wait. The excitement has built substantially knowing my car is sat somewhere waiting to make its way to me. Hope everyone is well and still enjoying their cars!

further update - more of a worrying one. Had an email from Peugeot UK saying welcome/thankyou/congratulations on my purchase...all very nice... Invited me to log into a newly created MyPeugeot account online with all my details and car info on it...so i did. To my dismay, I have seen that the car quoted as being 'mine' is a RCZ Sport THP 200 complete with VIN etc. instead of the RCZ GT THP 200 i ordered... A little worrying and i hope this is just an admin error. Going to drop into my dealer and get them to confirm that the GT is indeed the spec they have built.

argh. *bangs head against wall* lol

Worry not. It's all to do with Peugeot France. We in the UK have a GT model they don't. It is a French website. So panic not as you will not have to turn your own headlights on once you have got your hands on it. Promise. You WILL receive a GT UK spec

RON's post is bang on. A number if members have reported this same issue and RON is totally correct. You will receive the GT but flag it up as being incorrect and get it altered.

It's amazing how a little message like that can make all the 'what if' thoughts go away and put your mind at ease! Thankyou very much RON and thankyou mrizzle for the confirmation. Made me much happier this cold evening!

So pleased that we have put your mind at rest  You are not the first person to be worried by it  I think basically the UK GT has some optional extras fitted as standard and then called a GT. There are no badges or anything to show that it is a GT. The easiest give away is if it has front park assist, other things like 19" wheels etc
