Hi Santa, your 'holiday' non sleigh Ride?!

I have had my Hdi Gt for a couple of mths now - absolutely love it, inside and out

Mine is 2014 in Moroccan red metallic with blck Napa leather - pure class, an everyday Ferrari (without the price...and excessive performance!)

Feel free to ask me any questions on driving one as an everyday car

Here is one answer u will no doubt want the definitive answer on........ 48mpg overall, mixed road driving, low cruising speeds, a lot of cruise control and occasional full throttle acceleration through lower gears to keep thing breathing clearly - Not done a motorway long distance reading yet - I suspect mid 50s with a mix of lane one lorry 56mph and c 68mph cruising

The other likely important question answered...The ride is firm but acceptable...right up to hitting a pothole...every 5 seconds which utterly detsroys most of the pleasure of driving

U will see I have asked many questions with regard to this subject, both before and after buying the car. - I have also put forward some theoretical solutions.

Mine unfortunately came with pretty extreme tyres on the largest oe rims.... 35 profile on 19" - when they have worn a little more I intend experimenting with oversized 45 profiles on the 19" whilst retaining as an expensive option, 45s or 50s on 18"

In between craters, on a decent patch of road, the 35s give a race car change of direction feel, whilst requiring continual near subliminal guidance to maintain a straight line. - With perfect (continental) roads I might even retain them as I image cornering would be fairly epic :)

Good luck with your search :)

Thank you so much for your great post. You have actually answered some questions I didn't know I had. I will be using it to commute so the MPG is important.

Thanks again.

Hi Santa, howz Mary Christmas? ;)

What have u discovered so far in your search?

For guidance, I paid £4.7k in Jan this yr at a small Dealer. I felt this was a little high, however when u stand before a mint Moroccan Red RC, U soon forget about a few hundred overspend....

I had been looking for a great Moroccan Gt for over a yr .....they are rare...so rare, I bought this one over the phone the day the advert was published!

Drove 60 odd miles with balance at the ready, quick test drive and away she came back home with us.

Gearshift is probably best I have ever used, 55+ mpg and I noticed a lot of double takes and kids gazing with joy. Its the sort of car that suddenly becomes stunning when clean :)

Personally, I would go for the 2014 Mk2 as, IMHO the front is Much prettier...I just cant get over how beautiful she is when gleaming ....I am about to take my 70s arthritic frame outside and spend an hr or two giving her a Spring bathe :)
