Well the car arrived ok, delivered on Friday - although not sure if I was pleased or worried by the delivery driver's comments that 'it shifts'! :wtf: Although he was in his 50's so I don't think he was too much of a boy racer!

Not really driven it much myself yet, a quick spin yesterday with a friend and then the missus took it to the shops today. Spent a bit of time this evening cleaning the interior to my satisfaction - it had been prepped to about 90% but just needed a bit more attention to detail - it is now spotless! They also did the Ceramic coat, which I'm fairly happy with - it's very shiny but they didn't do much in the way of swirl removal, so will get it pro-detailed in a year or two I think (or I might try and tackle it myself with my Megs G220)... Going to give it a wash tomorrow along with the XKR (which is filthy!), weather permitting... I have also read the manual cover-to-cover and played with all the toys inside - managed to get the bluetooth streaming working and phone pairing too, which was nice!

Next steps - Zunsport exhaust (awaiting group buy), RCZ keyring, foot rest, boot liner, some rather smart valve caps and a set of Philips Dipped Beam 100% bulbs for starters! (I told the missus I wouldn't modify it... much!). Then maybe a K&N panel filter later on when I'm 'off the radar' again!

If anyone's wondering it's dark metallic grey btw, although it looks black most of the time! Anyone happen to know what the official colour code is called?

A few pics:

A man after my own heart. Someone who actually reads the manual :)

Shame about the non removal of swirls before being sealed over. Exactly my reasons for warning people off having the dealer do it. It would take at least a full day to do a proper job. An hour or two from the dealer just doesn't cut it.

Enjoy your new car and put your foot to the throttle once in a while ;)
