Hi all - Just bought a 200 GT!

Hello fellow RCZr's! I bought a 2012 plate 200 GT yesterday... Pics to follow once I get access to Photobucket - am at work atm...

Hopefully will be delivered in about a week! We actually went to buy another RCZ but it turned out to be quite 'un-loved', with scuffed alloys and drivers seat. Fortuitously I had printed a couple more off Autotrader that morning and the missus spotted another similar spec RCZ but with a dark interior, near to the place we were looking. Went and viewed it to find a very nice 2012 plate on 13,000 in dark grey, all the usual toys, FSH, still in warranty and with un-marked alloys and interior. Had been traded vs a Kia, so the garage wanted rid of it, in fact they had just dropped the price £1k! They wouldn't budge on the sticker price of just under £15k (as they had just discounted it), but I did get a full service using genuine pug parts, 12 months tax, delivery (starting on a full tank) and no £60 admin fee as part of the deal - having looked at older cars with similar mileages for similar money I think we did very well, due in no small part to my wife's haggling skills!

I've bought it as my sensible?! 'run-around'/commuting car (I currently own a 2001MY tuned/modified Jag XKR, currently around 400BHP, which I'm going to SORN and spend some time on - primarily so it no longer has to suffer winter!) but I SOMEHOW managed to persuade the missus to let me keep them both! (I'm also a moderator and part of the Used Vehicle Advice team on the XKEC forum if any of you are interested in the XK8/R!)

That said, I'm no stranger to Pug's though... have owned/driven 309, 205 1.9D, 205 1.4 (my first car, with added twin-webbers!), 306 1.9 DTurbo (2nd), 406 2.0 Saloon and a 406 V6 D9 Coupe (3rd), before I got the Jag. I also ALMOST had a 205 1.9 GTi that my dad had restored, but my mum thought I'd kill myself in it at the time! (probably right). It's now owned by my best mate at 200k miles - I bought the 406 Coupe and then an XKR instead and the rest is history!

With regards the RCZ, I need to get reading all the forum threads, but it is likely to stay fairly unmodified for the time being (part of the missus's T&C's!), although I managed to negotiate a twin-exit exhaust with her - am thinking of the Ruffer 'rolled' system (any comments?). After that I might get it chipped at some point , again was thinking RaceChip - 250BHP, but reading elsewhere suggests Superchips may be a more robust bet... :?:

Look forward to chatting with you all on the forum - all the best

Here are some (delaer) pics:

I'm having real problems at the moment even before it is delivered! The sensible part of me is saying 'leave it unmodified', the  tuner in me is saying 'mod it!' :eusa-think:

Looks great!! It's a nice car to tastefully modify to be honest. A car is an expression of you I always think so my advice would be to do whatever YOU want!!

An extra pair of pipes on the back is a cracking start

Agreed  It defo needs quads to balance the back end, problem is the heart says Ruffer rolled system (@ £700!), head says Zunsport/Feline option at £300... :eusa-think: Trouble is, if I went down the Ruffer route I'd end up wanting to do the whole system...  Anyone happen to know if either Ruffer or Zunsport/Feline option affects the warranty out of interest?

As Peugeot supplied and fitted my Feline exhaust it certainly didn't effect warranty. Back then it cost a lot more than £300

It's best to check this with your dealer but our common understanding is that the Zunsport conversion won't affect your warranty. Also worth considering that to get the most out of the Ruffer system will require a number of modifications beyond the exhaust. However, it is very cool!! RCZperformance carries both items as I imagine you realise and I was recently made aware by Zunsport that they will offer a discount to forum members. If I had the money to do it properly (and wasn't concerned about the warranty) then I'd probably lean towards the Ruffer set up to get that extra performance boost and acoustic note!

I've just had the Zunsport quads fitted on mine by the dealer with no effect on the warranty. I also checked with my insurance company and they said it would be covered and put a note to that effect. There was no additional cost.

Another simple mod is the foot rest pedal.

Yes we can provide any exhaust you are looking for for your RCZ. As for the member discount, I have been in contact with Zunsport and the discount is for a group buy and not individual purchases. If anyone is interested in an individual purchase we have the best prices. If anyone is interested in a group buy I can put this together as well.

If you are going to go for the Ruffer system you will need to get the complete system for any real sound or performance gains. If it's just for visuals don't waste your money and go for the Zunsport. Steve can supply either

Having seen the Group Buy on the Zunsport, I'm tempted to go for the Zunsport for the time being, then in time (when the missus has forgotten and I have saved my pennies again) go for a full Ruffer system and sell the Zunsport on to one of you nice forum people... Everyone wins there I think!
