Hi All
Ok wife bought a RCZ 1.6 GT few months back and i drove it yesterday for the first time and was shocked how flat it is on take off. Book states 153 - 156 BHP but its shocking like a 1.0 Citroen C1 on take off
Any ideas or is it normal ?
Thanks

Max power 154 BHP 0 to 60 In 8 secs top speed is 135 MPH so they are not a 200gt or the 270 R but still fairly nippy in the rev range If you can hook it up to a code reader just to check the Turbo is boosting correctly then look at any service history data if availiable
The Prince Engine in the car needs to be in a fully serviced condition to operate to maximum efficiency so check the Air filter or change it for a K& N long-life panel filter maybe the plugs are getting tired out these are on a somewhat limited lifespan due the force of the electrical charge they undertake & need to be swopped out on a regular service basis depending which ones are being used Coils packs have a fairly long life another one to keep fresh is the Engine oil as your engine is a high pressure Turbo variant & the Oil is vital to prolonging the life of the Chain Valvetrain etc

Hi Needy and welcome to the forum. The 156 will still easily beat 90% of cars from a standing start at the Traffic Light GP so, no, it definitely should not feel like a 1.0 Citroen! lol

Are you sure the turbo is working? Sounds like the car might be in limp mode (ECU turns off turbo if it thinks there might be an issue with engine somewhere).

Welcome to the forum
The 156thp does need a few revs but is no slouch so sounds like you've got an issue .
