With regards to the music problem. Are you connecting the iPod via the USB? Have you checked the settings in the stereo so that it's not set to randomly play tracks?

Thanks. I do like the colour, if it shows the dust and dirt too easily.

Random? Yes. And no!

If I set it to random with the iPod I get a one second blast of the next track before the next random track is chosen. If I turn random off, the playlist I've created in pseudo-random order ends up being somehow sorted into a different semi-sequential order. Only with a USB stick does the random work more consistently.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments about the car. I'm loving the looks.

I'm rather used to people staring at our cars. We've had an early [LHD, imported] smart Car, smart Roadster and Renault Wind. All fairly unusual. The smart Roadster is the most 'common' car we've owned in a long time, the Wind only sold around 2,200 in the UK and in the red we had, only 35 or so were sold in this colour in the UK.
