Hello there all.
Just placed an order for my RCZ. I've ordered a 156 THP Sport in the Bistre with Champagne arches. It was only later when I downloaded the brochure from Peugeot that I saw that one of the suggested colour schemes was the Bistre/Champagne I've gone for. I simply went through the options on the configurator and really liked this combination of colours.

In the dealership they had nothing in the Bistre to show me, one small colour swatch and that was it. Still, it will make a change from the Red Renault Wind and Silver smart Roadster, one of which will have to be sold.

The only other option I went for was the JBL sound pack.

I'm looking forward to the car arriving, I've been told it is likely to be October before it turns up so I'll need to be patient. Where's my car? Where's my car? Where's my car? Where's my car? Where's my car?....

I'm looking forward to seeing your car. I've never seen a Bistre one and so far mine is the only one that I know of with Champagne arches.

Oval in Wedtbury had a Bistre and Silver arches for sale, not sure if it's still on their website. Looked very nice.

Can't wait to see it!

Yup. Found the nickname the minute I found the colour. Normally it takes a while for the nickname to 'develop'. Not this time!

Well, the car has arrived earlier than anticipated, we were told October - arrived August. Picked the car up on Wednesday and today we've been to Gunby Hall on the Skegness - Horncastle road for some tea, cake and more importantly, pictures!

I tried to catch the Bistre colour as best as I could. It tends to look nearly black most of the time, then as the light reflects off it, suddenly you see the brown.

Looking rather dark outside Gunby Hall.

Rather less dark at Mill Hill Quarry Nature Reserve.

Distinctly brown (Bistre) now, catching the light.

So far loving the car. The build quality far exceeding my expectations. We also have some 'extras' that we were not expecting. Firstly things like the sixth gear, see me home lights, automatically folding mirrors that the salesperson told us wouldn't be included on the Sport specifications. Then due to a mix up on the ordering, we got half leather seats (free) instead of the cloth we ordered. The JBL sound pack gives a wonderful sound but as I have no 'standard' sound pack to compare to, I don't know if it was worth the additional cost.

We went to Cambridge on Saturday and over the 190 miles mostly across Lincolnshire, managed to average 52MPG without having to drive too embarrassingly slowly. Our (nearly sold) Renault 1.2Tce Wind Roadster only managed 45MPG if you were super careful with the fun pedal so we're really pleased with that. [We used the Park 'n' Ride so no pictures of the car in Cambridge.]

The one thing that is 'disappointing' is how the head unit works with my iPod. No matter how carefully I organise my playlist the RD5 seems to select it's own play order, which appears to have no logic to it at all. If I select random play, as one track finishes, another one starts for a second before jumping to the next random track which is also very annoying. I'm unsure if the 999 track limit applies to iPod playlists or not but as the display shows track 001/999 I'm assuming it may. I tried splitting all my tracks into a number of playlists, each containing only 999 tracks and organising them manually in a 'random' order to avoid the 'one second play before jump' issue, but then found the playlist was re-arranged by the RD5. I have copied a few of my playlists to USB sticks and these seem to be far better, random works without the 'one second play before jump' issue, and the tracks seem to stay in the correct order. Presuming I'm still limited to a maximum 999 tracks, I'm considering ordering a batch of 8Gb USB sticks. 8Gb seems to be about the average size of a 900 track playlist of 320kbs MP3s. I'd like to stick everything [10,000+ tracks] on a 64Gb stick, but I'm worried I'll end up with the same problems as with the iPod. As it isn't too hard to split the playlists up and swap a few sticks around from time to time, I'll do that for now and try to figure out a way of making the iPod work properly.

That's the first time that I've seen this colour out of press and showroom shots. It's far more intriguing than I initially expected it to be.

So pleased that you're enjoying the car. Perhaps somebody will be able to advise you regarding the RD5 unit. I don't have much experience of that I'm afraid. How are you enjoying the attention that the new car is drawing? It's rather enjoyable isn't it? ;)

Hey there. Lookin awesome :) I regularly use my phone with the stereo via bluetooth and so far, have not had any problems. This may be a problem specifically with ipods. Luckily, we have a lot of tech gurus on the site so you should get sorted soon. Good luck :)

Glad you have your car at last. Enjoy, cannot help with the track issue but how on earth do you get round to listening to 10000 plus tracks?

The car looks great in Bistre

With regards to the music problem. Are you connecting the iPod via the USB? Have you checked the settings in the stereo so that it's not set to randomly play tracks?

That's why I like random. Saves me making a choice, which I can't do before I arrive back home...
