Welcome Mendy.

It appears to me your English is fine, so please do feel free to contribute.

The majority of people here do seem to be based in the UK but there are quite a few from around to world as well.

I guess we all use English because it it perceived to be a 'common/universal' language.

However, we often uses slang and dialect that may be difficult for non-English language natives to understand, so sorry for that.

If there is ever anything that interests you but is unclear, please ask for more information. I'm sure most people will be only too happy to re-phrase things.

Also, we'd be interested to hear of your experiences, too - it's how we all learn.

I have one myself of course, thats why I joined this forum.
I especially like to see what others do to personalize it.

Just don't expect me to say much, as I am dutch english isnt my first language and especially the technical stuff is difficult for me in english. I understand it okay but thats about it ;)

We have many members from overseas and I have never yet seen anybody comment upon their grammatical errors. Hell we British borne members make errors in our English. However as with life you only get out of it what you put into it. So I'd suggest that rather than merely giving thumbs up/Kudos to trolling comments that you partake on a more intellectual level.

That ron quote is typical of the attitude of some members,, and he should apologise to Mendy...Welcome Mendy.. this is what you may come up against im afraid, dont let anyone incl the dinosaurs here talk down to you. Post when you feel capable and show your car pics if you feel like it.

We always enjoy seeing members post photos of their RCZs. We actively encourage it !

We always welcome members from anywhere in the world. I think you have just been caught in the crossfire of recent activities. Let's wipe the slate clean and start afresh. After all, we are all here because of our enjoyment of the RCZ.

Mendy, the last statement is incorrect. No-one has to post photos of their cars if they don't want to. It's entirely up to the user.

Just to answer another query. If you did want to post a photo of your car then you can blank out the number plate so no-one will know what it is. Something to think about ?

I support RCZ1s comments. All are free to contribute as much or as little as they want.

Having said that, the forum thrives best when people contribute so, when we share, everyone benefits.

Completely understand regarding potential privacy issues and, as RCZ1 says, it is possible to blank out details that might identify an owner, such as a registration number, or take photographs from an angle where they won't show.

As a matter of interest, in your country, what stops people taking photographs of such things as car registrations in the street and then identifying the owner? To me, this seems far more of a worry than some anonymous internet user on the other side of the world.

In any event, it is always interesting to learn how things are done in other places.

I think you just got the brunt of an ongoing situation. It was just noticed that you only seemed to like posts from a troublemaker.

But all that behind us, welcome to the forum. As previously said, you are free to post as many or as little pictures of your pride and joy as you like.

You said you have done some things to your car yourself? What have you done? I like modded RCZs :D

Please, if you have a problem, keep it to PM. But no, I was not referring to you. I have considered the matter closed and there is no need to talk about it on the public forum.
I am more than happy for you to state any complaints you have to myself or another moderator/admin.

I am a troublemaker? Still think you should be asking for an apology from that ron person and maybe now that last poster adsent or whatever? Welcome..unless of course you are a dutch troublemaker who has views that dont conform to the"norm"Get a life people...Toublemaker indeed,,,

The term troublemaker was NOT aimed at you. That was another, now banned member.

We welcome each and every member warmly as long as they abide by the rules, as clearly laid out in the forum rules. If you stick to them then no-one has anything to worry about :)

People have moved on and it's water under the bridge. May I suggest that you put this to bed and start afresh.

It's just my personal opinion, of course, but it seems to me rczloverx is a master of self-delusion.

Pete thanks for that offer, I may need some translations yes, some day! Now I know where to get that, haha!

I think I learned properly English in school, as I am well educated, but I don't use it a lot lately (I do much more reading than writing), and especially slang is hard for me to understand, sometimes I then look online for a translation

Catherine, my car is an MK2, it is red with black extra's added by me (I always look for more that I can add to make it even more personal and of course: more beautiful than it already is!), and no I do not post pictures of any kind on internet, so also not of my cars. First of all because what you put on the internet it will be there for always. Secondly in my country you can fill in the license plate on a website and it will show you who owns it, adress and all... I absolutely do not want that, as you may understand. It is a matter of privacy ;)

I was very surprised (well in a bad way surprised, dont know how to say that) that someone somewhere in a post said you have to put pictures here to proof you own a RCZ... If that is a rule here I better leave as I don't want to do that, sorry!

:text-welcomewave: Mendy!
I'm also from the Netherlands (born close to German border) but work for an English company so use the language for my work daily and know it enough to post on here with fewer mistakes than the average native English speaking poster...
I understand what you say about privacy etc. but you can still share pictures where it doesn't show the registration plate, or use a drawing program to erase the number (which is what I do).
I'm just curious to see what you've done to your RCZ!

Welcome Mendy,

There are a lot of good tips on this forum for caring for your car, as well as some stupid comments from certain people.

Stay and enjoy, contribute if you feel you want to, but their is no pressure to do anything you do not want to do.

Welcome aboard fellow RCZ owner.
