Hi

just traded in my old renault wind VVT 133 for peugeot RCZ GT 200.
Wow, what a difference. Although the handiling in old renault was quite good, the RZC beats it with refinement and power.

I did a quick evening trip after work from Edinburgh - Trossachs Loop - Tyndrum - Glencoe - Oban, and back - all together 7 hours pure joy. Couldn't have done it with Renault (too rigid suspension, noise, etc)

There is one thing, though: in the morning a week ago, i got an engine fault warning. I drove to work (about 10 min drive) and restarted the car. The warning disappeared. Diagnostics showed nothing unusual. The same happened next morning (again, warning when 1st started, after a couple of minutes of drive , after starting again, no warning anymore). It never happened again. Has anyone experienced this behaviour before?

Regards, or better, au revoir

Mat

Hi and welcome Mat, what year and mileage is your new RCZ? Cold morning issues could be a poor battery the RCZ is very touchy with week batteries, or could be the valves sticking slightly when cold, common problem on direct injected engines may need just a good hard thrash

So you're used to driving in the wind and now you drive like the wind !

You will be able to exploit those highland roads with the RCZ and I'm guessing it will be loads of fun.

You say you have just traded in for the Z, well if it's not been used for a while and like Neil says, may just need a good blast, but do check the battery to be sure.

Happy driving, don't forget the pics.
