Heater

Hi every one
Can any one tell me should the heater work . If the ignition is on. (Light up. Air con . Blower.)Or should it only work. If the engine is running ? 2013 hdi model . Thanks I I advance

Ancillaries are run off a constant live feed from the ignition barrel I have never had to check whether the heater blower will but try it & see but don't run the fan for more than 1/2 Hour with the Engine off as it will flatten the battery dead as a dodo ?

My heater only works when engine running .have you checked to see if yours work the same as mine . Thank you
