Hello all,

Have my Z booked back into Kds of Gillingham to have the car topped up all over with the Gtechnique Exo product.
Going to get them to do a full leather feed also while its in there.
Anybody else used Exo?

Paul...

I haven't used Gtechniq EXO yet because it does require some quite specific application processes.

For starters panel temperatures have to be 20C or over. At this time of year, you can create those temperatures by using something like a hair dryer to heat up the panels. You also need to keep it dry in the initial first 10 hours or so but as KDS have a unit, they eon't have any such worries.

As a comparison as to how EXO compares to Gtechniq C1 on its own and Gtechniq C1 topped with C1.5 see the diagram below. EXO certainly adds gloss but is not as scratch resistant as C1 and c1.5

Be sure to post some pics of your car when it's been done :)

I've been lucky enough to have received a free sample from Gtechniq of C1.5 v2. It's an improved version of the original C1.5 but with easier application (not that the original was difficult) and also adds more gloss. Used it yesterday on OHs car and certainly seemed to add higher gloss levels.

Will be interesting to see results it's easy to apply if its a hot day but its £124 a can if u wanna do it urself that's over twice the price of C1 for similar results and i thought C1 was dear. But after using C1 I'll be using it on my next car to

What "next car" is that big mac ?

Like you, I've been very impressed with C1 and definitely has self cleaning abilities. You can physically see dirt running off the car. It beads up first then runs right off. Definitely keeps the car cleaner for longer :)

Hi,

I was advised by Kelly at KDS that Exo makes a great top up to all the various Gtechnique products that was put on the car when it was detailed in May..
He's got some videos on YouTube about Exo and shows the results after applying some to a Ferrari they have within their workshop..
Will post a couple of pics after I pick it up on Saturday....
I don't really know a great deal about all this detailing stuff etc some I'm being guided by the experts...

I'll just have to take your word for that Big Mac, as I can only see her back. Clearly though, she is top draw material costing that amount:lol:

The Dacia - well we all have our cross to bear :)

Just collected car from KDS after having the Exo top up done, very pleased with the results. Their work is top notch as always.
Drove home in the rain and never needed to use the wipers, rain just sheets up and over the roof.
Had the leather fed while it was in there too...

Great news Paul. Just a shame it was raining really but then as you say, you get to see Gtechniq doing what it does best :)

Indeed, was very impressed though with how well it works. Exo makes a nice top up to all the Gtechnique products that were put on when kelly at KDS detailed it. He's taken pictures of the car which are due to be posted on their website soon.
Leather smells all nice again too after the clean and feed :)
