Hi all,

A quick hello immediately followed by a question, that so far I have found it impossible to answer.

I am registering here are for multiple reasons as follows:
1) I am a Peugeot Sales Executive for Westover Group Christchurch, Dorset and want to gain an insight as to what make you guys tick and what annoys you about your general experiences with Peugeot Sales Exec's to make sure the service I give is second to none.

2) I currently drive an RCZ 1.6THP 156 as my Demonstrator, and quite frankly, I love it.

3) I want to know if anyone on here has the Carbon Fibre Roof option (Brilliant Black or Satin Black)..............
the reason you may ask is this................

I have just taken an order from a customer who wanted an RCZ Magnetic, but the model wanted is no longer available due to only a small amount being built, so we are ordering the following:
RCZ GT 1.6THP 156, Black Pack, Matt Black Wheels, Xenon Headlights, Pearl White, Light Grey Lama Integral Leather, Connect Nav and..................a Carbon roof.

The problem I am up against is no one within PSA has even a picture of the difference between the two roof options and not ever seeing one with my own eyes, it is impossible for me to give an honest comparison between the two. The best I have come up with so far is the thumbnail size picture we display on the online configurator, which is far to small to see any difference.
:helpme:
Do any of you have a picture of a Carbon roof that you have, or have seen, that you could post on here so I can show my customer?

This car really is going to look stunning, but we want to ensure we get the roof option spot on to compliment the matt black roof arches.

I am a car enthusiast, not just a salesman courtesy of my first car being a 1985 Peugeot 205 GTi.........................The RCZ for me is the icing on the cake!

Thanks for your help in advance,

Stuart.

Welcome :)
Sorry I cant answer any of your questions regarding the carbon roof. But I commend your effort to get an insight into better customer service :)

As an auditor at work, I seem to audit every companies customer service lol.

Welcome and hats off to you for pursuing excellent customer service. Something I will come back to in a later post when I have more time. However, I have yet tot see the carbon fibre roof option on an RCZ yet. None of the ones that were given to the press even featured them. One thing I was disappointed by is the fact that the carbon fibre roof is not a replacement roof but rather an addition to the existing one...in fact adding weight to the car. Personally (and I know this isn't very helpful), I'd rather save a thousand bucks and get it wrapped if I were truly interested in achieving that look. Probably not what you wish to hear however...sorry.

Anyway, glad to hear that you're enjoying the RCZ experience as much as the majority of us are and hopefully someone will be able to help you unearth an image of the carbon fibre roof option.

I was going to get a carbon roof but dropped it after I looked at the normal black roof. For the extra money I don't think it's work it and as far as I am aware it sits on top of the existing. I also didn't like the difference, prefer mine with the all black, may suit white!

Is this any good? If not, just tell me from what angle you want a photograph and I shall take some more at the weekend. I have had both the Matt and the Gloss. I prefer this the Gloss which is on my current model. The only real benefit to this is that it doesn't get scratched as the standard roof tends to mark rather easily.

With regards to what we want from a Sales Executive or a Salesman in my language is knowledge of the products that they are selling. Now that would be the first of many steps, stick around and you will read proper horror stories about Salesmen in particular and dealerships in general.

Wow, thanks for all the replys. Its been a while since I last used a forum and its good to see there are still some helpful people about.

Thanks for the picture Ron, do you have a picture of the Satin roof available to upload? Don't worry if you don't or if its too much hastle.

Abzynthe, that was the only picture I found too, but only after scouring Google for about 24hrs! And its good to see Japan are enjoying it......

Regarding Customer Service, its always to me been the most important thing. As far as I'm concerned if I don't treat my customers like a member of my family, I've not done my job properly.

What's the difference between Brilliant Black and Satin Black?

I've only seen one RCZ for sale which had the Carbon roof option but i see that's been sorted already.

I did not take any photos of the roof of my original RCZ's roof. That's the one I referred to as Matt and am assuming is what you are calling satin. I current car has that Gloss one and can take as many pictures as you like, but I would think that the image that I have posted will give as good an impression as you will get from a photo.

Admire your principle on customer service. I alone could bore you for hours on my experiences of clueless car salesman. Their ineptitude astounds me. I just wonder if this is a cause for the huge turnover in the sales force?

I have had both options and believe the answer to your question to be that Brilliant = Gloss and Satin = Matt. You can see from the image posted above that it is Brilliant/Gloss/shiny
