Yes I'm very excited this morning :)

Shame you can't make it to the Yorkshire Meet. I'm sure there will be another occasion very soon .... ;)

I'm excited...and I'm not even getting her!!! I hope that everything goes smoothly tomorrow and leaving Pearl there on her lonesome  doesn't break your heart!

Thanks Mr Rizz :)

Just been clearing everything out of the car. She's so empty...... Seems so final now ........

I am excited to see Ruby though :)

Awww. It's the end of a chapter right enough but it merely signals the start of an EVEN more epic one!

Exciting times . . . Looking forward to seeing some pic's of your new beauty . . .

I've got her - yeahhhhhh !

Just got her home. Now it's play time. Getting to grips with the Sat Nav and media controls.

She is being detailed on Monday with help from my friend Ron so really looking forward to that :)

Car doesn't look too bad on pick up from the dealer. There are the obligatory swirl marks here and there, polish residue on the grill and various other places ..... Details, details.....;) Otherwise nothing we won't be able to sort out on Monday.

Great experience at the dealer. I would recommend them to anyone. Not pushy and just listened to what I wanted. Great job especially Malcolm at Pentagon, Sunny Scunny. Top guy :)

Pictures will follow once detailing has taken place :)

Great stuff! I knew we wouldn't be treated to any pics until she was a sight of detailed perfection!

Unfortunately my RCZ alloys are looking really tired. The black solstices look fantastic but if they get even the slightest nick or (the unfortunate but almost inevitable kerbing) they quickly look awful. Two of mine really need refurbished but it's not an easy thing on these alloys as they need to be sent away from here which would leave me minus two wheels for 7-10 days. Just isn't an option! Really bothering me though! :-( Also, I noticed an isolated scratch which initially i thought was a cat hair. Annoyingly it is down to the primer...god knows how that's happened. Double :(

Anyway, back to topic, enjoy your lovely new toy, the detailing and I (and the rest of us) can't wait to see her!!

Thanks Mr Rizz and Grant :)
Grant it will be no time at all before your Z turns up. You'll love it.

Yeah sorry, you will have to wait for pics. Got one or two that I may post later. Got one with Pearl and Ruby side by side :). Had a good look around the car now and there's polish residue all over the car and water marks. When we arrived to pick it up this morning there were 4 guys working on it so bit of a rush job by the look of it. Its what I expected to be honest. Wheels look really shiny though :)

Got to grips with the media system and Sat Nav more or less so a happy bunny. Just a shame about "that gap".

Congrats on the new motor. Look forward to seeing some pics! Old next to new would be a good one I imagine!

Did you take your lights (drl's etc) off to put on Ruby? Wonder how much Pearl will go up for, will have to look on their website in a week or so :eusa-think:

No I didn't take the LEDs out of Pearl. On Ruby, you don't have side lights. The DRLs are also classed as side lights so there's only one working light in the main light housing (apart from the indicators). I may change the main beam bulb at some point.

Yes I'll be interested to see how much Pearl is advertised for.

No, left the air filter in too. I have bought a new one for Ruby, which came today in fact :)

Will be fitted in the next day or two along with the Dodo Juice metal tax disc holder, new bespoke mats, etc

Since you've seen them side by side: are there any other differences between the classic (love that word) one and the facelifted one besides the front?

There are little differences in the interior - More little chrome touches, leather in the middle of the door cards and of course the roof arches but personally for me it's different in that I have the sport pack and Sat Nav, which both make the interior feel different. I'm personally a big fan of the new front. To me, it's more grown up.

Got lovely comments from my neighbours (makes a change - they normally mock my detailing ) who said they really liked the colour and the black arches.

Have to say it looks very nice. With the black arches, is this part of the black pack? If so, what do you get with this as I'd assumed the mirrors would also be black as well as the arches? I ask this purely out of interest not because I think it needs them, it's just on others they all seem to have black arches and black mirrors so thought it was part of one 'pack'.

Black Pack is Arches, Break Callipers, Front Grille, and Wing Mirrors, but you can have just the Black Arches as an option.
