somewhat less contentious perhaps - I have just used new Autoglym Super Resin Polish with applicator, then polished with one of those stringy tassled mits, applying good pressure along the length of rails
Made mine mirror perfect and my sister's oxidised ones a great deal better - leaving me to believe a careful machine polisher with the resin would restore them
The resin also removed all the fogging of sister's RC's headlights (they were quite bad) - again, a machine polish would restore them to as new
I have applied 2 coats with soft to medium pressure all over and it is excellent - going to apply third coat (3 weeks later) then seal with AG extra Gloss Protection
