Don't know if I'm supposed to promote items on here. Administrator - if not please delete this post and accept my apologies.

I bought something recently that cost £3.95 with freepost and it has already been really useful. I should have bought one years ago! It's basically an extending small mirror with light so you can peer into those dark inaccessible nooks and crannies of the RCZ engine (also works on other makes). You know what I mean - it extends telescopically like a car aerial with the mirror and LED lights on the end. It's really nice quality as well. I know you will probably all say that you've had one for years but I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to new technology.

Has anyone else got a gadget of the week?

I personally see no issues with this. The forum can't endorse these things obviously but I can see nothing wrong with sharing personal experiences...and I am a sucker for a gadget (as my wife can attest).

This week's gadget of the week is in a similar vein to the last gadget. It's a telescopic magnetic tool. Probably loads of you have already got one but if you haven't then buy one before you need it! Mine cost less than £2 on Ebay with freepost and it's basically a telescopic car aerial with a magnet on one end and a pen clip on the other so you can put it in your jacket pocket. Not sure that I will actually do that - it will just stay in the toolbox.

We've all had the situation where you drop that bolt, nut or clip and you can see it sitting further down in the engine (they never fall out the bottom especially with the cover trays underneath). You can't reach it and attempts to move it with anything result in it being pushed into more inaccessible place. Very frustrating!

Anybody else got a gadget of the week?

Similar to yours but not collapsible, I've got a 2ft long flexible doofer with a plunger at the top which pushes out an expanding claw at the business end. Release the plunger and the claw retracts, grabbing around the lost object. There's a tiny led light on the end too

Love it, best couple of quid I've ever spent in Aldi's "Middle-Aisle-of-Mystery"!

I've had the claw grabber thing for years now and it's certainly been useful. It's good when such handy tools are so cheap.
