Front parking sensors?

Having nearly lost my front vallance/skirt on a not so low kerb when parking can anyone tell me if the front parking sensors will warn before damage occurs.Also how much could i expect to pay to have them fitted by Pug dealer?I already have reverse sensors.

I've just been looking into this, in order to get this the unit located in the rear wing area has to be the correct one you will also require the 4 sensors and the loom, and that's if it will connect into your existing loom.
I have the part numbers at home for the various parts.
PM your Vin and I should be able to see which unit you have.
One unit only does rear, another does both front and rear.

But to your original question yes they do help but you can still do damage as I found out by scraping the front corner on a wall.

I have front sensors factory fitted to my R. I also live in a house with a steepish drive with a level pavement at the bottom of it. It was a concern that the front would clear reversing up and down. I probably have 2" clearance at best and the little rascals bleep at me everyday. So assuming that pavements are higher than 2" you would think that they would sense it. However I haven't put that theory to test.

Front and back sensors going off in unison, that's not something that happens everyday unless you reverse up my drive!

Hi, I wouldn't trust the front sensors on high curbs I've been very close to hitting the front number plate/bumper and the sensors showing I still have a way to go! :eusa-think:

Would be interested to know if many people have damaged front spoiler parking over kerbs.Perhaps I have to be more aware,or reverse park. :eusa-think:
