Front badge

Does anyone have any advice on how to refresh the black paint on the front badge please?

If you could either remove the Lion, or carefully mask it off, you could use plastidip which would give a nice finish, and is removable if you wanted to do something else in the future.

I had the same problem
I just wrapped it

The lion does come off it’s just double sided tape plus some locating tabs. Use fishing line or similar to cut away at the old tape to remove them either mask off and spray or vinyl wrap

I used plastidip on mine, I used mat black on the main backing and on the chrome them masked off after 8 hours and used plastidip graphite on the chrome section

it came up so good he’s using it on the front page …. It’s a metallic red and the freckles really pop in the sunlight….

I recently had my car repaired after a small crunch at the front corner. It came back with something that dulled my bonnet logo too.

I have an Australian? Auto product Called :
Meguires "Scratch X". In a large black tube style bottle.
It a very very fine polish for those tiny rubs and swirls you can get sometimes get on the paint or trim around door handles and stuff. I used it in my logo and it came up nice and bright. I used a bit of a slightly pointy knitting needle inside the cloth to get into the tiny areas around the lion.

there are also plastic polishes for other things like kitchen ware and sinks that aren't metal and it would be good to try as they are quite equal.

There is another product out of Germany called
AUTOSOL, It could work a treat also. It's so good I have polished my jewellery for years with it and no damage... it's auto polish fir metal but it's extremely fine.

I use Solvol Autosol too... been around a long time - used it back in the 70s for polishing chrome motorbike exhausts. Brilliant stuff. Slightly harsher than T Cut but will cut as much as you need depending on how much elbow grease you use
