From LCD Display to WIP COM 3D

Hey, I wanted to ask if it is possible to replace the LCD radio (the one without navigation) with the WIP COM 3D (the hinged display)? Do both radios have the same size and what do I have to consider when exchanging?

The exchange will need VIN coding, so that will need taking in to account. Plus I'd imagine the wiring will be different.
