Fob battery replacement

I have two keys but one is proving erratic which I have put down to being the battery on it's way out. Question: If I replace the battery does the key have to be re-programmed? Any help with the process much appreciated

No they are preprogrammed to your car its a straight swop over I have changed 1 of mine with no issues there are a few vids on YTube if you need any help

If you've put a new battery in the keyfob, the owner's manual tells you you should reinitialise it afterwards:


REMOTE CONTROL PROBLEM
Following disconnection of the vehicle battery, replacement of the remote control battery or in the event of a remote control malfunction, you can no longer unlock, lock or locate your vehicle.

First of all, use the key in the lock to unlock or lock your vehicle.

Then, reinitialise the remote control.

Reinitialisation:
Switch off the ignition.
Turn the key to position 2 (Ignition on) .
Press the closed padlock immediately for a few seconds.
Switch off the ignition and remove the key from the ignition switch.
The remote control is fully operational again

It also says HCA on my blade, but for sure it's different from yours.

If the case is changed, the old blade should be reused. It is disassembled by removing a small pin that it has.

Thats the one I have, works just fine.

Please note that mine had to be cut locally, The blade could not be switched with the original.

Yes I have changed all mine they do offer a cutting service too I did get it cut just by sending them photos of the blade when it arrived just changed the circuit board and all working fine... I did have it posted to a friends address for obvious reasons...
