Thanks guys, she is incredible, is it possible to drive 24 hours a day?!! :eusa-think: I have to keep popping into the garage to see her and then sat in her listening to music and just basically drooling over the lush interior!! It is so crazy to watch other peoples reactions, felt like a bit of a celebrity! Roll on tomorrow when i simply have to go for a long drive in order to .......well just enjoy her!!!!!!!

I have to repeat what i said in your previous thread when you posted a pic.

That car is absolutely stunning, everything totaly falls into place with it, those big 19" wheels are just what the RCZ asks for .

You need to let us know your secret for keeping that shine, it is the best i've seen on here.

Well if it stays like that, it will still be the best i've seen on here.

Black can be a pain to keep on top of though, so Crystal do youself proud and stay on top of that superb looking car.

Showroom shine?! ! Nowhere near as good as when it gets it's first wash and wax at home!! I have to say on close up inspection, i thought they did a poor job, but had the same problem with my black 206 cc, I had to take it back and when they saw it they actually said it looked better than when it left the showroom!! Got my ultra deep shine and high def wax at the ready, she is going to be one spoilt baby! :D I have the fortron shield pack too as back up. I fully intend her to be washed and waxed thoroughly this weekend!! I still keep sneaking out to the garage though to take a peek :p I have always loved driving but she really has put the fun back into it!!! It says in the manual,
RCZ - a symbol of confidence, passion and inspiration
and i have been inspired to write a poem about her, maybe post it at a later date!! ;)

Unfortunately crystal, close up often shows up the demons that we know as swirls, etc. I'm sure you will soon have her looking as she should as you are someone who obviously knows how to look after a car to get it looking it's best. A lot of people don't really know what they are looking for in the paintwork and what properly prepared paintwork looks like.

Enjoy your wash and waxing this weekend :D

Yeah Crystal, with black it can show up swirls ect, so you need to be careful with washing ect.
Once you find a good washing , polishing & waxing regime that your confident with then you should stick with it and the products that you find best for your needs, obviously try new products now and then but dont go on a massive spending spree straight away.

I think sometimes we can be swayed by too many fancy products recommended by what i would call locker room detailers.

You could go around in circles with all the advice that is freely given out and quite honestly spend a small fortune.

Looking after the paint work can and probably will turn out to be an expensive hobby, so once your happy with the results that your getting stick with it as you obviously know more than others already about how to look after the paint finish .

Thanks for that guys! Yeah we spend hours on our cars polishing them etc beacuse we are 'car people' and we want them to look their best. love the mp3 connection in my car, all hidden away and able to access from dash!! I will be going out soon, so another chance to drive my gorgeous baby, can't wait! Weird how you have to touch paintwork to open petrol cap, wonder whose idea that was?! :eusa-think: Have a good day everyone! :p

Thats one of the things i would change on the RCZ, a release button inside the car would of been a better idea.

Nobody wants a greasy thumb mark on a just waxed finish, escpecialy a shiny black one like yours. :(

Yeah how strange, i would love to know who designed the petrol cap part, it just seems plain daft to have to touch the paint work!! Still i filled her up today and have just done 119 miles in her since thursday, oops! I saw the gorgeous amber red one in a car park, i wanted to leave a note on it saying nice car but thought, owner may not be impressed at someone going that near their precious baby!!
