I am REALLY struggling here but one that hasn't been mentioned that is definitely in my list is The Big Lebowski which is a film that I endlessly adore. So much so that I actually have a limited edition print (limited to 80) sitting in our front lounge in tribute to one of my all time favourite films. Mrs Rizzle hates the print but I overruled her on it. Will get a picture of it with the frame later when I get home but this is the print itself. SUCH a truly awesome film!!! The dude abides...

Well that's this weekend's viewing sorted then.

You're absolutely right about Coen brothers films but this is undoubtedly their best ever film and it's truky iconic...and endlessly quotable. It's genuinely one of my favourite ever films. Just love it SO much!!

Snatch Jason Statham and Brad Pit on top form. Personally think its much better than the more acclaimed lock stock. Watched it on sky demand last nite and I'm in the middle of fight club at the minute another top show. Brad Pit showing what he can do before he became a mega star. Oh and another Pit movie 12 monkeys 2 Moro maybe :)

I loved Snatch cracking film and Pitt was quite funny in it, i to consider it to be more entertaining than lock stock,Brad Pitt he seems to have become a better actor as he gets older he was good in Moneyball, but his best film was Se7en by a long chalk,Fight Club.......not a fan of this film its ok, but a bit too left field for my liking, directed by David Fincher amazing director that seems to have been brow beaten by the film studios now as its only main stream films he is directing now, Zodiac  and that forgetfull hollywood version of the girl with the dragon tattoo, social network

Right My fav top 10 films non genre.

1.Schindlers List. Moves me like no other.
2.Last of the Mohicans. lmmense film great period action packed drama..Daniel at his best
3.Raiders of the Lost arc.The one and only
4.Alien 3 extended cut. This film was ruined by 20th century fox film studios with catastrophe after catsatrophe by them, Fincher then disavowed himself from this film as it was released, it now has a cult following
5.Godfather 2. Best ever Pacino
6.Ben Hur. best sword and sandles film Big Chaz at his best
7.The Dark knight. A fine farewell do Heath Ledger sad though he could have become Legendary
8. Se7en. Fincher Again extracting every once of talent from the cast
9.The Dark Knight Rises. Nolan exceeded all expectations and will find it hard to reach this level in his future films
10.Predator.The best action hero of my generation Arnie and its Spawned countless Sequels and a prequel

And if i could Sneek another in...The ABYSS SPEC ED  Jim Camerons under minded Masterpiece made straight after "Aliens=Vietnam in space" All underwater action sequences filmed in a old/un used power station the cast went through a living nightmare filming these sequences.

Great call on the extended cuts Alien 3 and Abyss, Jassy

I find it impossible to come up with lists. Partly because of my pi$$ poor memory where names of films goes (not to mention things/objects/people/book titles etc etc etc!) And partly because it very much depends what mood I'm in.

But I'm loving this thread, quality idea Rizz!
