Totally agree with you, Daniel Craig IS Bond!

Although to be fair they have all been pretty perfect choices for the times. Just as Connery's Bond wouldn't work now, Craig's Bond wouldn't work in the sixties.

Agree, except for a couple of exceptions, Lazenby should never have been a bond, and Niven although kind of unofficial still played Bond. Neither of these were proper Bonds imho.

I'm not sure about the idea of Idris Elba taking over, not over keen on him as an actor, and ( WARNING SEXIST QUOTE ABOUT TO CROP UP!) if they choose a woman as Bond, I think that would kill the character for me.

My film viewing has been pretty restricted this year. Although I did catch "We dive at dawn" today on the TV box thingy. :eusa-whistle:

You should give 'Luther' a try - might just change your mind as it's pretty damn good.

I'm reading a lot of rumours that he is being overlooked in favour of Damian Lewis. Thoughts on that one?

And then follow that up with The Wire which just happens to be one of the best TV series that's ever been aired. Game of Thrones and a few others are vying that title in my eyes.

I'm ashamed to say I missed out on The Wire when it was on and now have some many shows that I already watch and not enough time I may never get around to it. :(

What would you say those other few top drawer shows are, mrizzle? The Walking Dead for sure, right?

Noooo...you need to make time for The Wire. You will love it. It's superbly acted, very cleverly written and the characters and developing storylines mesmerising. It's absolutely superb!!

Quickly, off the top of my head and solely thinking of dramas, I'd say that Walking Dead for sure, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, 6 Feet Under, House of Cards, The Sopranos, Band of Brothers, The Shield, Sons of Anarchy and Deadwood are all some of the best. Have I missed any? We seem to have similar tastes 2retro!!

Oh and I am REALLY enjoying Ray Donovan just now. If it keeps this up then I'm slapping it in that list two because it's brilliant.

Six Feet Under - that was fantastic show and the finale is still outstanding.

Also Dexter, True Detective, Mr. Robot, Homeland, Hannibal, Fargo, 24, Black Sails, The Following...

And for the less serious but still great: Wayward Pines, The Last Ship, The Strain, Elementary, Gotham, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Flash, Arrow, The Whispers...

Like I said, so little time! lol

Definitely agree about Fargo, Dexter and 24. I got a bit fed up with Homeland though and was disappointed by the last series of 24. The Following is decent too though.

Have you seen the full trailer for season 2 of Fargo yet? The first season was absolutely brilliant so I have high expectations for this one. No Billy Bob Thornton is a blow though. He was fantastic.

Have you watched Daredevil yet?! It's also very good. Grittier than the likes of Arrow etc. It is actually quite brutal in places but very good.

Also really worth watching is Bloodline on Netflix. I enjoyed that too but they do drag it out a bit at places. Worth sticking with though.

Elementary is another notable. Johnny Lee Miller is brill as Sherlock. Good shout.

You've given me a few to check out there and I better get on with Wayward Pines seeing as you clearly rate it.

Yep, really enjoyed Daredevil. Probably the best of the superhero series' out there actually - very very slick.

Looking forward to Fargo Season 2. You're right about Homeland - it is patchy but when it's good it's very good.

The Walking Dead companion series is coming too: Fear The Walking Dead!

For those 3 people who haven't seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens yet, mild spoilers ahead.

For everyone else, this is just brilliant!
