I think I'll just keep an eye on mine. No point in creating problems over something that's not really bothering me .... yet!

Hope you get everything sorted soon!

I find it very hard to believe some of the things I read on here ... You've paid over 20K for a car and you have obviously got a problem with the windscreen but your quite happy just to leave it :brickwall:
So when it's out of warranty and it's getting worse and worse what you going to then ?

So I've finally caught up with all the 'excitment' (and so pleased I'm not involved!!) although I've been getting a bit riled at some of the comments.

Anyway, in response to Mikey, I have a three year deal on my RCZ, so end of warranty I'll be trading it in, so I really couldn't give a toss. I only see problems as ones that actually affect the car - like my clattering suspension mounts etc. So what if I'm not overly concerned about what looks like a tiny bit of mould round the edge of the screen that quite franky you couldn't see, unless you know to look for it. I'm not going to bring more problems upon myself by insisting on a new windscreen 'just because'. It's not like the fault is in my line of vision or anything.

That's my tuppence. I will post those photos for you tomorrow Kerry. Have a lovely evening everyone .....

Er morning all, just thought I would sort of sum up events. Having looked closely in the daylight the screen fitting is perfect. The original missing or not rubber gasket is the difference between hand applied and original factory machine applied sealant that I could see, so all well there.
The Arches are being replaced due to the stress mark on one side and the detaching inner on the other. It's easy to spot a detached inner as the door rubber sits within a grove and when they do not line up you have a gap above the door glass.
Agreed all around that if this had been a couple of years old and happened slowly I would have left alone, Peugeot were being vigilant here though knowing that the screen had not seen a winter and if moisture was between the glass good old frost would result in damage that could be quite quick. So I agreed it should be changed, I do remember saying I was more concerned that everything would go back on undamaged. Not psychic on this just had a discovery three in a past life that every time it went cold the side trims would literally crack off. This was because the glass had not been reseated in the same place and stressed the trims. It wasn't fun looking behind when one went airborne on the motorway.
Anyway with the honesty of the dealer I am sure all will be fixed this week. This is the same dealer that sorted out a problem when my wife part exchanged her car this year and to our horror we found that it had been written off by an insurance company the day before she picked up her new car. Not bad as she had not had an accident :!: . It was an admin error by an insurance company years earlier but the dealer took my wife's car saying 'don't worry we will sort that' so I have to admit in having some faith in this one down here in a frosty Wilts. Thanks all.
