Smart thinking ;) the silver Beemer will look even better mate, just one shade up from the normal tint is enough on the electrc windows on the rcz then 2 tints shades up on the small A pillar to blend in with the rear factory tint thats what i done as the chap recommended

Thats the thing with tints, there are some real bad "tinters" out there.

I've seen some rotten jobs done. I think it's best to go somewhere you know they have done a car you've seen close up and spoken to the owner if possible. :eusa-think:

Mark did my A5. Did a cracking job. But then I got shot of it 6 months later! Shouldn't have bothered!

What are the legalities with putting tints on the windows? It would definitely finish off the car and give it a floating roof type thing but I don't want to be dodging the long arm of the law!

You can have whatever you want on the rear screen and back side windows. Everything forward of the B pillar must allow 75% light through it. Anything less than that is illegal. This basically means that you can't add much of a tint to the front windows without it being technically illegal.

Personal experience is that as long as the front isnt too dark and looks lighter than the rears, you'll generally get away with it but if you want to be 100% legal, don't bother getting the fronts done at all as the amount of tint you can add, isnt worth the expense or hassle.
