I just had my rocketcover replaced not sure if it's a genuine part as got it on ebay but now my fan kicks in when I drive it the temperature is normal could it be cause the part is not from pergeot

There have been reports of this happening after rocker cover replacement but I can’t remember what the reason were 🤔it could be to do with a breather pipe?

No it has nothing to with the cover the fan is usually triggered when a fault is detected by the ECU possibly due to abnormal temp changes or a mechanical- electrical issue Try scanning for any OBD code

Did you see the video a member posted recently regarding faulty aftermarket rocker covers where the PCV valve system had been manufactured wrongly?
car wouldn’t run right replacement was the same.

Yes I saw the vids you could be right as the engine temp may be affected by the rocker cover vacuum if the pressure goes up due to a faulty pressure valve
