Fallen for the sexy big cat..:-)

So here i am on the RCZ forum. What can i say. Six months ago i steered the girlfriend away from buying a mk2 audi TT. This being an unbelievable thing in itself being a massive audi fan. I felt the RCZ would be more of a nicer cossetting GT to drive for her. And by hell i was right. Ok she only has a low mileage 156, but she has the lovely 19inch alloys etc. And recently fitted a lovely peugeot billet gearknob same as on the Rcz R. K&N panel air filter full service and underseal protection. Have to say Peugeot eastbourne have been brilliant in looking after her car.
I have being modifying cars for years but cannot get over how nice this car drives out of the box, suspension and the whole way the car makes you feel behind the wheel. She absolutely loves her RCZ. And to tell you the truth i've fallen for the big cat too. Everytime i drive it i realise what a great machine it is. Thoughts of a nice black 200bhp RCZ are creeping into my head.. :) Does the 200bhp version feel in real terms different from the 156? Suspension feel etc?

Cheers guys.

Damien.

Well the power is noticeable... The 156 is "okay" but the 200 has that little extra go in it :)

I can only go on my experience. I test drive both 156 & 200 and there did seem to be a significant difference in power. That's why I decided on a 200.

Suspension - both seemed very firm, I think the 200 felt firmer round corners, and certainly mine corners like its on rails. :eusa-think:

Obviously I know which one I would choose, cos I did. But I'm certain that the 156 is a fantastic car, and I doubt very much that anyone would be disappointed if that's the car they chose

Having driven both the GT200 and R, I would say the GT is harsher. This is a bit suprising, given the suspension upgrades - especially the rear.

I would suggest you have a go in an R & see what you think of that.

Incidentally, it's really great to hear the experiences of someone who's driven both TT & RCZ. To often, stuff is said about both cars from a position of no real knowledge.
