Thanks Mrizzle. No option was given to me for different headlights no? Didn't know this was an option? Is it to do with Xenons?

No worries!

Afraid not. It was from Randles in Stafford, delivered on the Monday to the dealer

Callled in at my local dealership today to compare the new rcz facelift with my mercury grey gt hdi which has done 15000
since i purchased it from new in 2010 at a cost just over 25k and is still imaculate, speaking for myself the facelift has been a waste of time and i thought my care still looked better next to it,Never the less with the first mot due in july my wife and i decided we would trade it in for a new model, saleman came out inspected car and said he would have to take it for a test drive before we could talk trade in allowance,He returned after 10 minutes or so and said she handles beautifully
My options for my new rcz pearl white, midnight silver wheels and the black pack price neally 27k i asked what the trade in allowance was he said 13k,my wife who usually says nothing asked him if he was having a laugh he then walked off came back with a revised figure of 15k i am thinking i will have to give this a little bit more thought my have to hold onto it for a little longer

J_Slade, I've just done a quick valuation on my What Car app for you and this is what it shows, so the 15k they offered is actually very good for a part ex

£15k means that your car has retained 60% of its value, which in anyone's book, is a very good return.
You're not going to get anything back on your extras that you had on the first car. You always take the loss there.
Realistically you are not going to get anything like £19k especially not in part ex.

what you state rcz1 is correct ...i think the phrase retained is a play on words for how much the car looses ...and as we all know not many cars keep there purchase value ...so we all have a choice ..i just think that when all that money was swilling about a few years ago people had the feel good factor and was prepared to spend ....unlike the present time where all are now very cautious....imo :eusa-think: :eusa-think:

i think you are right Mel i think i will hang onto my car for a while longer and get some more enjoyment out of it ,i cant warrant spending another 26k on a car that does,nt lookhas good has the one i have got. When i ready to trade in i may go for the newer model if i have still got the rcz bug :eusa-think:
