IF and I mean IF there is a face lifted RCZ it's not going to be out until well into next year (2013) at the very least earliest IMO. Personally I think it will be 2014 before we see any major changes.

I would place your order now and get in the car and enjoy it, if as it seems, it's caught your eye.

Hope this helps.

cutting it fine for march- lead time for a standard car as of today is 10 weeks - a spec'd up auto may take longer......

Marcus are there still problems/issues with automatics being made?

You have read the post, I'm sure. All those that should be in the know have said categorically.... No facelift is currently planned. Make of that what you will. But for me it sounds right as the car is too new to update already.

Hey Guys new here!

I appreciate we are now in 2012 and this topic was soooo last year ..lol but any update on the facelift question??

Its actually stopping me from buying an RCZ at the moment as i dont want to spend around £27 - 28k on speced up RCZ GT Auto if they are going to facelift within a few months.

I know it sounds daft but id rather spend an extra 6 grand on a ..... dare i say it ....TT  if they cant confirm this, ive emailed pug directly for an answer which i know they wont give me!!

its giving me the right hump :brickwall: as i want to put an order in for a 12 plate which will take the 8-10 weeks till the 1st March so any update on this would be cool...

HI....... peugeot may make slight changes to interior trims and choice of alloys or even add more colours this year but nowt else but on the other hand the benefit you will get is a better deal with rcz with it being in its second year of production COMPARED to other owners that paid through the nose for it when it first came out.The current TT is in its last year of production with new/facelifted version out 2013 is it not so a TT is a better bet for a discount or a high spec special edition ie Blackline edition,or you can pay through nose for new TT.

my advice for you is buy a nearly new rcz with high specced options these can be had with less than 5k miles on a 11/61 plate for roughly 23/25 grand saving you between £5000-£7000 or even more

No , the autos are now back to a more normal lead time.

As a Peugeot employee I can categorically state that there are no plans currently to release a facelifted RCZ. The Asphalt special edition model is still selling, however in 2012 there will be a new special edition model, with the same engines available currently but different trim level.

Well that's very interesting information. Does that mean there will be a new colour? ( something to with the poll on facebook and what colour people would like to see introduced on a RCZ). I for one can't wait to see what it will be like. Any ideas when it might be introduced in 2012 ? Please don't leave us dangling

our dealer made a press release about new models coming in first half of 2012 - this new RCZ is called RCZ Geneva Edition. no other information apart from the name.

If this is true, my guess the differences will be largely interior trim, possibly wheels and other options as 'standard'.

However, if there were any exterior styling changes - especially front bumper - I'd expect a lot of people to be asking about after market fittment.

One thing they should whenever its facelifted :eusa-shhh: :eusa-shhh: is take the front lion badge and put it on the front grill

Agreed.

I'd put more credence on the suggestions that include the Hybrid4 power train and cosmetic changes, particularly the front bumper/grill. This latter has been one of the cars' aspects that seem to attract continual comments. I would also expect upgraded audio/sat nav with decent iPod connectivity. One wonders what the new system in the 208 will be like and how many vehicles in the range will get it. It would be very odd indeed if the halo RCZ couldn't be specified with that.

There is a lot of conflicting info on here from people who should know the truth!

When we were awarded RCZ specialist in 2011 I asked the question because Peugeot wanted us to take a pack of 5 cars and at the time it looked like production had slowed.

I was told there would be a facelift in 2012 at some point. Maybe that was the truth, maybe it wasn't but I think it was. The new face should always be on your halo car so it seems inevitable.

Even the 107 is getting led running lights so that would seem to be one feature which will be added.

As for when? My bet is for August. Hybrid? My bet is definitely next year at the earliest. We had 3008 hybrid training in January for a May car and we knew about the 208 in November so there things are known about well in advance.

Given the boot size of the RCZ the hybrid would be a good fit. I always thought it was for a CC roof one day but I am told that isn't on the cards, ever, by the UK RCZ man.

Was the pack of 5 cars offered to you in the summer?? as i know there was a influx of rcz at this time

lets hope they do a good job on the led daylights running lights as the ones on the 308 look so after market add on's and are blue in colour

Why are existing owner's so against a facelift when they know its a fact car ownership life...........cars move on

being a good bet that there is going to be a facelift maybe imminent future owner;s when will be in a better place to either get a good discount or know to wait for the new facelifted rcz to come on the scene and pay full wack then all the better for dealerships.I know this happens all the time to all makes and models of cars but thats life :( :(

Peugeot wanted every major city to have one RCZ specialist.
The prerequisite for this was to take a pack of 5 RCZ's and have them on display. I wouldn't say there was an influx in the summer, but there is a good supply available at the moment.

There will be a facelift in 2012, but Peugeot only release details of facelifts about 2 months before it happens, as with the 308 and 107 recently.

The only reason Peugeot have released info on the 208 so soon (release on 26th June 2012) is to gather as much press/public attention and excitement as possible, as the 2 series car is the most important in the Peugeot range in terms of sales.
