Extended warranty

So, my first years extended warranty is about to end, and the nice people at Peugeot have sent me a little leaflet to tempt me to take out another years warranty with them. This year, the price has increased to £27 per month, or £30.90 with AA cover.

I decided to go ahead, as the car isn’t getting any younger, and although I’ve not had any problems so far, I do know that potential problems can prove quite expensive, and as I now don’t have any recovery cover, I have gone for the AA included option. They do put the frighteners on you a little bit by saying that unless you take up the option by a certain date, it will no longer be available, but of course there are independent options that can be taken out at any time, but they may or may not offer the same kind of cover for a similar cost.

I've never had an extended warranty.
I've owned 5 Peugeots too....

I've never bought warranty either, but the R doesn't have any, and it scares me :lol:

I've just extended mine for the 2nd year, looks like either my screen or hi fi is going, should be covered.
Didn't use warranty last year.

Also ring them back and make sure you have the non vehicle breakdown cover (extra £20) covers punctures/wheel change, keys locked in the vehicle, wrong fuelling etc.

I had extended warrenty on my 11 plate 156 GT. That was the best 200 pounds i have ever spent.It must have cost them thousands.. For that reason I got it for my R..
